This comic is like my response to modern art, in that my immediate reaction was equal parts "whoa" and "wait, what?", and that I had to re-read it 3 to 4 times before I settled on my own meaning.
As best as I can figure, the Zap-apple-and-electricity-charged amazingness of the cupcake was so powerful that it blasted Pinkie into an out-of-body experience, or blasted all the parts of her soul into being. If the former, then Pinkamena seems to represent the corporeal self that stayed put after everything else got zinged out at the SPEED OF FUN. If the latter, the Pinkie with cotton-candy-floss hair is the "corporeal" part of her soul, and the other Pinkies (winged and sad) are the "spiritual" parts of it. I lean toward the latter, personally.
And of course she could cut the ties to the flying Pinkies; they were wild and happy and didn't need "origin Pinkie" to hold them down. They represent the majority of her "Pinkiness" and will dissolve/rejoin her when the cupcake wears off. Pinkamena, though, still needs that tie. That part of her soul still needs to know someone's there for her.
And most of all, a hug and a laugh.

I just want to say how much I enjoyed your unique perspective on this comic. As the author/artist I may have my own established perspective on it but personally I like seeing what others have to say more. At times I almost feel like I'm rediscovering my own work through others and your take on it I find very insightful and charming. Thank you.

It took me over 5 minutes to "read" this one, because I really enjoyed your drawings/art form/style, and I could really enjoy/appreciate every frame and not rush at all like one would "normally" do in other comics. ^^

Whoa. I don't know what to say about this one. It's Pinkie breaking the fourth wall on a grander scale than I could have imagined (and I got a pretty damn fine imagination, being a professional author and all). The use of Pinkie's mane is striking, though not original (her mane tied to her mood has been around since Party of One, and used twice since then), although your usage of it IS original in its scope and depiction. Also, having her interact with the voices in her head? Priceless.
But it does beg the question: is it that this cupcake tastes like friendship, or that her friendships are so strong she can taste them and this confection simply reminded her of them?

OK, the artwork, that gorgeous, gorgeous artwork of yours that hook me up ever since the first Time Off comic, I mean holy cow, it so vivid, so magnificent, so... words fail me to describe how great it is!!!
But not only that, is the way you used it to deliver not only an extremely interesting story, but the emotions within as well; to compare, when I first saw the Rarity one, I could feel her glee, her passion for her work, then in the Rainbow Dash one, I could feel her emotions even more, her fears, her insecurities, but this one, this one... a torrent of powerful emotions that in the end almost brought me to tears, its... simply beautiful.
I knew to expect from you only the best, no matter how long it took, but the final deal wasn't even near my wildest expectations, you, my fellow brony, truly, truly can be considered a exceptional artist.

It brings to bear my favorite parts of my favorite pony : There is always joy to find and one who doesn't see it, so spread it around and make them see. This embodies Pinky in a fantastic manner.
