A very basic couple of sketches for the hero of my current cartoon project, Chattanooga Choo Choo.He doesn't have a name, he's just the main guy singing the song in his blue 1940's-style suit.
I needed to quickly check if wristwatches were in regular use in 1941 which they were. I didn't want anyone sarcastically saying, "Why didn't you just go ahead and make it a DIGITAL watch while you're at it?!"

Yes, they had those kinds of watches back then. I looked it up too. I hate when people (mostly kids my age) say, "THE 40'S? THAT'S SOOOO OLD!!" I think they're dumb. It was only the 40's, not the 1200's!
