I can explain!This all started with a desire to draw Samus in a curvy position. Having completed the hips, I attempted to align her arms so that she doesn't look like a retard and discovered that adding some sort of string insturment would complement her pose quite nicely. I made the instrument up. After that, she NEEDED a flower in her hair (helmet). Then I recalled "Hey, didn't she play some string insturment at the end of Tetris?" Well, it's a cello, but meh.
Oh, remind anyone of Metris? Y'know, the Penny Arcade parody.

Yes, she did play that. I think it was on Height 2 when you see her playing Cameo. The rest of it will be hard to pull all nintendo characters without screwing a piece. Anyways, that's a nice pic of Samus, I love it. :3

That's one of the most fabulous things I've ever seen. That's becoming my new wallpaper right now.
I like how by keeping Samus and the blocks monochrone (except for the red flower and glowing parts of her suit, which stand out nicely), combined with the shading it gives it a bit of an "old world" feel.

Oddly enough, I caught the NES Tetris reference immediately. I'm such an uberdork. XD; Certainly a side of Samus we don't see much, anyway.

Lol! Weird, funny and unique! Great pose! She looks very femenine here! And the wy you drew her in that armor makes it believable that she can actually fit in there. In most of Nintendo's artwork is hardly believable that a woman with such a 'doll'-shaped body can fit in an armor suit so broad!

Well, you did great job with her armor again, the right shoulder only really buggers me. It'd too hard to explain it in english, but I think you will or have already figured it out by yourself.
And the use colours is really nice in this one.
