Wow, more Metroid art in Photoshop, this time abusing the gradient tool. This was inspired primarily by Mario Sunshine which I, unfortunately, have yet to play. I was also trying to copy the Paper Mario style of art, with that subtle-yet-not-quite-subtle way of shading. And man, tracing those black outlines with a tablet takes quite some getting used to.Photoshopped.

Ah, this brings back good memories of two completely different games that I played when I was younger. Metroid stuck with me more than Mario did, but I have to say, I'm liking this feeling of nostalgia your art is inspiring in me right now.
