Description
To those who wait. This is the epic rendering I mentioned. A 3072x2048 (6.3 megapixels - the same as my camera) took about 4.5 days to completely render. I don't know exactly because I stopped it a couple of times accidently (thanks to Bryce's weird interface).
Still, I'm delighted with the way it turned out. It's so sharp. I dig that.
I may lay off the mirrored textures for a while though. I don't have that much patience

Utterly fascinating. So, this is what a 4.5 day creation looks like...As you know, I do not understand the technology of it all, or what it ultimately achieves, as much as I would love to know about it all. What I do love about it though is, I love images where it feels like you could step into it and look around forever as it is so multi-dimensional. And, this is how it appears to me, like you want to jump into it and look around, it is so multi-layered - you could just stare at it for a very long time trying to discover it all. Thank you for sharing with us all....

Hey, I don't understand the technology either. I just understand how to use it
The reason for the multi-layering thing is that it's a pic of mirrored surfaces within a mirrored surface. I dunno if you've ever stood between two mirrors, but it's way cool and things seem to go off to infinity.
I don't mind sharing either. I get a kick out of creating this sort of thing

these things are so wierd, and you made it? wow. incredible. i don't know if i have the patience for something like that
A mate of mine had to use CAD for architecture, and that always took ages to complete rendering(?).

I guarantee you that you would have the patience to create something like this. The actual creation part took me a couple of hours to get the colours and camera position so that I was happy with them. After that, I just pushed the button and left it alone to do its thing.
Photo realistic art ALWAYS takes a long time to complete. But I guess the end results make it worthwhile in the end

Yeah, I think so too! Thank God, considering how long I had to wait for the damn thing to finish rendering
