Tried the link, I kept getting an error in Maya. I couldn't get the model open. I wonder if it would open if it was an .obj
Maybe if you opened in max and exported it out.

I ended up modeling Sonic in a totally different style. But thanks for the models, I used them as reference.

I'm surprised that you didn't freak out about the metal knuckles. When I submitted it to Blue Core I was directed to put these Metal Guards on his knuckles. I guess they took it out last minute.

I know we didn't have time to rig and animate him properly. I finished Knuckles a month before the film was released, close call! I was going to make mittens in the begining but the art director wanted fingers... I agreed with the decision.

Really? None of you thought it was a step too far in the "realistic" direction? I mean, not to be mean, but out of all the complaints fans had, this was one. Then, it launched into a debate involving the existence of Knuckles' fingers. You know the Sonic fanbase, I assume.

Yes I do know my Sonic, and if its a true fan they know Knuckles always had fingers. Its just a certain glove he wears. In the Comics and Cartoon he has shown his fingers. All we did is change his glove.

I know. Believe me. (Let's use the phrase "hardcore fan" vs "true fan". Hehe...) I think the main issue is that, while he has fingers, the glove is on of the main points of his look. Looking back, they probably tried to make it like a boxing glove. I was just wondering why is all. The overall model is fantastic and maybe even nicer looking than Sonic. Shame it wasn't showed off more.

I always thought they were these mma type gloves also, most interpretations make then look like mittens with spikes at the end.

I see how you would get that. I just wanna keep you remembering: I like the overall model. I just still understand that the gloves were something that might've been better as they were. I can understand if they're harder to work with, though. The whole movie seemed like a huge challenge that the team handled very well.
