F-16C-42-CF, 88-0458 assigned as the 312th TFTS Commander's Jet, 58th TTW on their home ramp in January 1990.Note the AMA (acceleration monitoring assembly) pod on station 1. This units function was to make the F-16C/D aircraft look bigger on radar. The F-16C/D aircraft carried a lot of 'Stealth' technology RAM materials on the aircraft structure, and the USAF did not want the 'true' radar signature known of the aircraft until it went into combat.

Thank you! I was fortunate to have had access to US Military airfields from the late 1970s through the early 2000s. I had a good time photographing airplanes. I am glad you enjoyed the photo!

Thank you! I enjoyed working on the F-16 from its early years in service to the early 2000s. I even got to fly four of them 'back in the day..." It was a pretty cool little jet!
