Description
This is a scene from the Nickelodeon show "Avatar" that I reconstructed with very extensive creative liberties (basically the only similarity is that these two characters meet), for those of you who don't know what this is. And if you don't, SHAME on you, because Avatar is a damn excellent show.I started with this image probably two months ago, and had to put it on hold constantly for extended periods of time, because of other work. I thought that once I'd graduate from highschool I'd also have a lot more free time. This did, in fact, turn out not to be the case at all. But I had vowed to do more original finished pieces like this, and here we go.
Software: Photoshop CS.

I love this. Have you heard of the live action Avatar movie? Hope it turns out good. I doubt it though. The casts are pretty weird.

I don't know about the rest of the cast, haven't really informed myself yet, but I saw the teaser trailer and I thought it looked awesome. I dug the kid they chose, and I love the way they detailed the arrow tattoo on his forehead, that was super dope.
Will have to wait for the actual movie before I make up my mind, but I like to stay optimistic.

So many people have asked me this and I still don't know, haha. I gave multiple rough estimates somewhere here in the comments section, but truth is I really do not know. I spread this out over several weeks, working on it in between other things here and there. Ultimately I just kept working on it until I figured I was done, but how long that took me... no idea haha.
I think the last estimate I gave was like 60 hours or so? But that might be a total lie...

Can I ask you how much time you took at this one? I know you said about two months, but with long stops at the process. Do you have any idea on how much time you spent working on it?

I think I might have said around 60+ hours at an earlier point, but honestly by now I really don't know. This piece is almost 3 years old, if I wasn't sure how long it took me right after completion then I really don't know now. Sorry.
