oh my god -_-;, id die...having to do that haha. You did a very awesome job on that though, it looks like drapery, you could almost tell what its made out of.

Very nice, I think the most impressive of all is that you dealed with every kind of shadow and light, like the reflections that not everyone can see, yet they are always there.

I did this one on my own, because I thought something like this would fit nicely into a portfolio for colleges. But I do visit life drawing classes when I can.

that looks amazing - but let me ask you -- is that a portfolio to enter school or a professional one for work? Becuase as beautiful and perfect as this is, I would say that any AD would look at it and wonder what sort of work you want to do.
From what I've read - you put 9-12 images in your professional portfolio of the kind of work you are looking for. So it's best not to just put random things in there, because the AD will wonder exactly what it is you want to do.
Sorry mate, don't mean to be a downer - I'm actually just trying to help. Check out the advice @conceptart.org about putting your portfolio together, it's some excellent really great info, from pros.

For college it would be appropriate - hopefully you can go somewhere good enough for you - like Art Center. Its the best in the country. I bet you will have no problem getting in - really wonderful work.
If you /do/ want to get into Art Center though, don't rely so heavily on manga - almost every serious place looks down on it. Just giving you a warning! They are run by old fogies who don't believe it has its place in illustration.
