Here is the second illustration I did for the now-not-happening-in-it's-planned-format second Satellite Soda art book.The title does not really relate to the image, or at least it shouldn't be taken very literally. I didn't create the character of the Badfunk, so I'm not the one who invents his origin story. I really just thought this would be a cool looking picture, and it COULD work as a background story (although it's not). Hence the title.
When I did this one (and actually also the previously submitted Deviation), I was on a real anime streak, watching various shows and movies left and right, and I was definitely inspired by some Gainax in the making of this image.

Gainax is an animation studio. They're the ones responsible for series such as Evangelion, or Gunbusters.

I zoomed in to the larger image and I noticed that this piece is fully realized in every inch. There is nothing that's half assed in this piece. That aspect alone is something that everyone should strive for in thier work.

Wenn ich das Bild anschaue und gucke wie mein CS 2 alle Computerresourcen saugt, die ich habe und die sind nicht schlecht, dann frage ich mich wie Du es schaffst so schnell zu sein. Du hast keine Geschwindigkeitsprobleme?
Zum Bild ist natürlich astrein.
Da ich gerne auch besser im digitalkolorieren werden möchte wollte ich Dich auch mal fragen wie Du dich da reingefummelt hast?

Also ich bin eigentlich uebhaupt nicht schnell. Meiner Meinung nach eher das Gegenteil, weil ich mich konsant im Detail verliere.
Dieses Bild hier ist schon etwas aelter, es war fertig bevor ich in die USA geflogen bin, genau wie das Bild davor. Daher konnte ich die beide relativ kurz hintereinander hochladen.
Mein PC ist ueber lahm, gerade mal 512 mb RAM, das dauert zum Teil Ewigkeiten nur im die Datei zu laden.
Was das kolorieren angeht, das hab ich mir zum Grossteil selbst beigebracht. Viel ueben, trainieren, Farbstudien anfertigen, etc.
Und natuerlich durch Meinungs/Kritikaustausch mit anderen.

Machst Du dann überhaupt noch was nebenbei? Weil wenn ich eine Datei aufmache dann kann ich auch gleich noch auf Klo gehen, duschen und frühstücken.
So lange dauert das und jeder einzelne Schritt und Zwischenspeichern macht mich wahnsinnig.
Ich hab da überhaupt keine Geduld und auch keinen Spaß mehr weiterzuarbeiten.
