Description
This is my first "official" painting in Painter. I discovered the uses of this program several days ago, and I'm really liking it. A lot, in fact. So I thought I'd go a little all out and draw something of my own and color it.I tried to go for that uplifting and happy feeling that I know so well from the beginning of summer vacation. Mine just ended, what a pity.
Software: Corel Painter 9 and finishing touches in Photoshop CS.

wow, what a great piece. i can tell you put some time into really smoothing out the lines and colors, and i think it works very well with the mood. also, the colors are great for this too. nice job.

nice work!!! you're a pro with the wacom tablet (correct me if im wrong) i use the tablet too but im not that good so i stick to traditional art often.

Well if by pro you mean I mean make money with this, then you're wrong. If by pro you mean experienced, then I guess that's a matter of opinion. I'm advanced, but surely not professional.

Awesome painting, I like how you have a kind of wind waker style too it, very subtle tho. Your little character reminds me of one of the trick or treaters out of Nightmare Before Christmas.

Jack?
I guess his fice does kind of resemble Jack's, but since Jack's body is insanely elongated and stick-figure like, it's all good (and it's all good either way, since Nightmare Before Christmas is one gaint party - I love that movie). Allthough I think one of the little kids that kidnap Santa Clause bears some resemblance to the one up there as well...
