I have doodled this critter a while ago and finally came around to redrawing him and setting up a couple of colour schemes. Any thoughts on that? Will definitely be working some more on him soon, I love my desert dwellers.Β© Fabrizio De Rossi, 2013

I think I like the top left best. Then the top right. I like the darker colors better than the lighter ones. The first one has great contrast so he's neat.

Thanks! The upper left one seems to be my personal favourite as well. Maybe I will be adding different species/subspecies with different patterns. The top right one seems to fit into a more jungle-like environment much better than into the halfdeserts.

Yes I think those two are the best for a desert habitat. More species sounds like a great idea. I just started a new group called #MonstrousDesign which is about monster and creature creation. You are invited to join. Your flytrap monster is one of my faves that should go there.
