The finished and colored sabercat sketches. Top one is Metailurus, bottom is Smilodon fatalis. I may make character of these two, not sure yet.Related content

Thank you! I was trying to use current feline markings as an influence, but I also tried thinking of how they would hunt and such. I imagine Metailurus as a night time stalker, and Smilodon as a daytime ambush predator with those short legs.

i don't know much about the meta cat, but the research on smilodon would agree with your vision.
