Description
Pen and ink. 13.5" x 18" (34 cm x 43 cm). About 40 hours work.This is my entry into the "Dragon's Domain" contest at *DocRedfield 's *monstersandmaidens group. I haven't drawn a dragon for a while, and I was hoping for an image of one to pop into my head, although, as usual, it was the girl who popped in there first. Astute observers of my work will recognize the look on the girl's face--"Hyde's Bride" wears it [link] , as does the chick on "Digital Doodling 1" [link] , along with the awakening aerobicizer in "The Mouse Trap" [link] , and they're joined by lots of damsels throughout my gallery. For that matter, you don't have to be very "astute" to notice the trend...
Regardless, there are some great entries in that contest, so if you haven't seen them, I'd encourage you to check them out.

That's indeed a classic! My favourite here is the expectant look on the dragon's, er, face. And as for the bra ... It may be decorative, but sure scratches the throat when swallowed.

The expressions are great, I also like some of the more unique touches on your dragon, such as the hairs/tentacles/whatever along his neck (so many dragons in art seem to be stamped from the same mold/template, you know?). Love his claws and belly scales (and those on his back/neck ridge are pretty nice, too!), though I think his wings could use some touches such as fingerbones (if you look at a bat or pterodactyl's wing you'll see what I mean), folds or texture in the skin, etc. The damsel looks great, though a tad over-dressed for the occasion.

the girl shows every trait of an archetypical damsel in distress: long flowing, slightly dearanged hair, a voluptuous body, big expressive eyes and sensual lips. Not to mention the overall look of surprise and fear on her face and the pose accompanying it.
So we have all the correct ingredients of the typical Jeff DID avatar here in this picture come together and we can righteously give her the stamp: MADE BY JEFF
As for the dragon: with all this spikes covering her body this should cause some collywobbles if he ever should consider to take her as a midnight snack.

That were the words when aunt Theresa had done some of her opulent sunday cooking and everybody was too overstufed to leave the table. Then she took out her self mixed herbal liqour and filled everyone up to avoid "collywobbles". Naturally sunday afternoon wasnt a very productive time considering the digestive work one has to undertake, even after that
I am sure you will fullfill your mission again with your next picture. The world would be a terifying flavourless place for damsels without you working hard to keep them in perilious circumstances
