Description
This is another "oldie." I did it very quickly (too fast) because I had so many other images pressing to get done as well. It shows, I think. So, it's a "scrap." The parts I like are the interpersonal features of the principal characters--the greed, lechery, dismay, practicality, aloofness, and humiliation you can catch a glimpse of in this shrunken, low-res version. The parts I don't like begin with the short-legged ogre-looking guy in the right-hand background and they go on from there...I have thought about doing more of this (hey, I'm always open to doing another "slave" series), but it would require some "fueling." If you're interested in seeing more like it, see an explanation for "fueling" here and here . Thanks.
Enjoy! --Faile35

Love this, has a prehistoric feel. Any new plans?

Itβs an interesting composition, everything from the dog-headed guards and the near-naked serving-boy (a slave, maybe? a child of a slave?) to the expression on the slavers' faces, the costumes, the emotions, the bag of silver...

Thank you! I had fun putting all of the details together, including the costumes and facial expressions. I'm glad you like it.

Reminded a little of www.amazon.com/Pile-Petals-St-β¦ which I always loved. The serving-boy on the left is a nice touch in your drawing, too. There's enough of a story here to keep a writer happy for hours Sir

The rich slaver look like Henry VIII of England, named "Bluebeard".
Does it is intentional?

I think I saw the hat and some of the clothes in a painting that was in a history book 20 years ago. So, while this isn't supposed to be Henry VIII, parts of it were probably inspired by him or another historical monarch.

I stumbled across this and vaguely recognized it as yours, but it's absolutely amazing how far you've come since these days. Still very enjoyable, though.

Thank you on both counts.

Very nice picture.
From the guards, to the slave-trader and the (cute) slaves themselves, everything fits to another.

Thank you! I don't get many comments on this one, but I've always enjoyed the variety of characters on it. I'm glad you like it.

It's very nice. The women looks almost elven. Still I can see why it's in scraps, it looks incomplete somehow.
The scenario of a slavetrade corresponds very well to a scene in my head from one of my future books, even though the characters don't really. Still, good job!

Oh no! It's too good to be in scraps and I insist you move it so the fav will show up in my favs gallery
Hehe, assertiveness doesn't become me.

Oh, uh,... well,... yeah. Hey! My avatar just changed! That's not to change the subject, either--I just tried to change it days ago and it wouldn't do it. Those gremlins again! Grrrr. I mean, "great!"
As far as moving it goes, can I do that? Or are you just suggesting that I re-submit it as a Deviation and leave the old one in my scrap heap...? Thanks for the approval, regardless. --Faile35

You can move it by selecting edit and changing the category, but I don't think it will appear in people's devwatch boxes that way. Resubmitting it would increase the glory and worship it deserves.

Now, now. Thank you. Actually, I could crop the image to the stuff I do like and submit it as a "detail" in the deviations. I'll try it, put it in scraps, and see what you think. --Faile35
