If you're following this series in order, click here next .No, it's not a tender moment for these two. Luther is actually saying essentially, "There, there, Zirena. Just relax. Yes, I was a fool to come back here, thinking you would help me. And I was a fool years ago, to trust you as I did. But, fool that I am, I have learned what it takes to harness the power of your vision. Thanks to your hatred of me, your vicious bite has just completed that process; you've seen, heard, touched, smelled, and now tasted this handkerchief, which is the only bit of evidence I still have from the elusive villain who gave me this scar two years ago. I know that outlaw is somehow connected to the Fair Harvest Inn, and I want to know how. Find that connection, Zirena. Tell me what you see..."

Essentially, however, what I've written here will tell anyone enough about how Zirena's visionary powers work. If all five of her senses are stimulated strongly by an object of importance, her sixth sense will kick in and show her where that object fits into the larger picture, observing connections between it and other things suggested to her.
Notice that I have only used ink on Zirena's face and some of her jewelry--I am fading the images here as her senses are withdrawn into her vision.
And, yes, that is a little softening of Luther's face you might detect. He does have some feelings for her...

Interesting explanation of Zirena's clairvoyance. I guess the way to foil Luther would have been to just stand still and not react, until he just started feeling awkward.
The "fading" thing totally works. Nothing says "altered state of mind" like faintly colored irises, and her expression is just right. I guess vision-ing makes her too zonked-out to lie to Luther as a way of getting back at him, and she either babbles the whole story automatically or numbly answers any questions he poses.
It's strange how peaceful and nice this picture would probably look if seen out of context. Without the preceding pics I would never guess at any hard feelings between those two.
And a spoiler-filled explanation you say? Hmm. I don't think I'll be reading it, tempting though it may be. I prefer discovering things as we go along. Mostly. It's always fun to theorise.

Thats quite an elusive way to trigger a vision. Although i am asking myself if she ever cooks and eats that ineffable turnip which was wandering through the last pictures and if that also meets the conditions for triggering. She has seen it, touched it, heard it (By shaking it at Luthers head), smelled and will taste it
On the other hand what will this vision reveal: maybe what farmer John is hidding in his turnip basement ... eeekkk
So now we are only seconds away to get a glimpse in the cellars of the fair harvest inn ... 
Will be interresting how she will confer this vision to Luther and how much he is able to discern.

If there was quite a confluence of emotions and fates bound up in that turnip, you bet she'd have a vision. She has to be very careful with what she eats, therefore, and go rather slowly in how she approaches such things. Luther pushed her and her emotions for him overrode that caution, and now she's going to pay the price with the forced vision.
And, yes, she will automatically speak of what she sees in her vision, although she won't be able to describe it all, and the details are rather cryptic. We, on the other hand, will recognize a great deal of what she's seeing. And while we do know some of what is going on in the Undercellar, we don't know all of it, yet.

Right, now, I'd like to clarify some points on Zirena's "drozyness". It has absolutely NOTHING to do with her "vision" abilities. Unfortunately, the truth is a bit more prosaic.
Indeed, Zirena, aka Adeline (aka Perditax: [link] ) is a party beast, who has just finished her exams, and , as a result, well, party .All. The .Time (or rather, nights).
If you don't believe me, I can send you copies of the text messages I receive on my mobile phone every morning saying things like: "Oh, I am drunk", "Bwahah! I drank too much", "I have an headache" or "Ooops, I did it again...".
So here the truth: Zirena is completely drunk on that pic. BTW, before being interrupted by Luther, she was about to prepare a potion against hangovers made from turnips...

Is it possible that it was Callista than inflicted this scar on Luther(I really don't think that either our Damsel-snatching barkeep or mr.C4 would carry silken hankies).
