Description Just a quick little tut on how I used to do clipping mask tags...now I just use the 'Lock Transparency' button

Anyway, works best in Photoshop CS2, but I'm sure any program with a custom mask function will allow you to do it.

How do you create a silhouette? I can't seem to figure it out. Sorry, kinda new with Photoshop CS2 e.e

Everyone has to ask questions to learn

To create a silhouette, just take your paint-brush tool, draw a basic outline of your shape and then colour it in.

Easy as pie

Hey this tut is great but when I make a custom tag, the eyedropper colour is always lighter than the colour that comes out on the tag. I figured that was becuase of the setting the mask is on, is there anything I can do to stop the colour from being darker?

If you've got it set on 'Hard Light' you may find that your base isn't colour neutral, in this case, it's probably too dark.

Try lightening it off and see if it helps any.

I FINALLY GOTS ADOBE CS..3

But when I go to custom recolor the color layer... it doesnt color over o__O If that makes sense?

Liek i can bucket fill it a color... and the base shows through, but not when i use the brush or pencil .__.

playing with your program, and screwing up more times than you succeed...yep...that's how you learn this stuff.

I get lazy when I'm doing bulk tags so I find ways around certain things, while hopefully, still keeping the aesthetic qualities
