Still can't stop drawing Quan Chi
Here, I am playing with some new watercolors and trying to keep things more loose feeling. I didn't ink this one, either, I just left the sketch lines. I really like how it turned out! Payne's Grey is definitely my new favorite color <3 It's what I used for the wash in the background.Hope you are all staying well!
UPDATE 5/25/2020: I retook the photo as the old one was very dark. Hopefully this is better
It's hard to get the right light on watercolor paintings sometimes.--------------

And I love how you draw his muscles - or muscles in general. Especially in the face? The faces you draw/paint look so sharp and clear. Really good

Thank you so much! I actually really like drawing muscles. I didn't at first, but they have a flow to them that's very fun!
Coming back to this, I can see what a bad photograph I took, it's very dark. Eek! I'll have to fix that when it's not raining out. (It just started, right after I finished taking pictures of that Erandur drawing, good timing!)

The way you draw with watercolors is so lovely! the background especially has such a great texture to it!

Thanks very much! I threw some salt on it to get that speckled effect. It was my first time actually having it work out. Have you ever used salt on watercolor?
He is super fun to draw, but also pretty brutal. Historically I tend to draw men with lots of long hair, and beards, or draped in tons of fabric, but with this guy, there's nothing for me to hide behind, hawww!

Oh heck yeah! Salt is great! I've used it on a few paintings I did for Christmas and it turned out super cool!
