Species: Alicorn
Occupation: Alicorn demi-god of fire and heat.

Personality:
Heartburn is naturally not too energetic. They tend to be a bit more relaxed than you might expect, with a graceful and gentle demeanor you might expect fro royalty. However, Heartburn is prone to sudden emotional outbursts. The littlest things could set them off, even a minor insult could result in Heartburn throwing you to the floor and roaring in your face at a volume loud enough to burst your eardrums. Heartburn can be very unruly and hard to control for the other alicorns as well, tending to not take 'no' for an answer and preferring to barrel through obstacles rather than find a way around them. Yep. Heartburn is basically the physical embodiment of a fiery hearth, but can very easily become an explosion.

Backstory:
Heartburn was originally a normal pegasus, born to two pegasi. Things were fairly normal for the entire family, up until Heartburn got their cutiemark. You see, Heartburn decided to try and fly through a harsh storm, and on their way though, almost got struck by lighting. They quickly realized that something was wrong, and noticed they were, in fact, on fire.

They flew down, nosediving into the ocean. They made a massive impact, almost looking like a meteor crashing into the water. Thus, cutiemark.

Heartburn found themselves becoming an alicorn however after another storm showed up in their town. Whereas the other pegasi tried to evacuate everyone, believing that 'taming' the storm was a lost cause, Heartburn was determined to try, and flew headlong into it. Thanks to their bravery, and using their uber-fast meteor-like flying to their advantage, though they didn't quell the storm, they did force it away. Saving everyone in the town in the process.

Thanks to their loyalty and bravery, they were chosen to become an alicorn, and gifted a horn, as well as being gifted the honor or governing fire and heat. They weren't the first to have been turned into a demi-god of course, soon being brought to meet the others at the time. Luna, Celestia, Discord, and Aqua Marine.

However, soon, it became fairly obvious that the ponies weren't too happy with all of this, as soon, they began to blame Heartburn for wildfires, heatwaves, etc. As much as the other demi-gods tried to explain that it wasn't their fault, and they couldn't do anything to change the natural order, the blame, ridicule, and hatred had already taken their toll on them. Heartburn turned their back on Equestria, deciding that if they were to be treated as a monster, then why should they act any differently?

Heartburn was soon vanquished using the elements of harmony and the alicorn amulet, transformed into a pony made of pure lava, then sent to the bottom of the ocean, where they were frozen into a statue. Never to reform, unless brought back to the surface.

Extra:
-When Heartburn flies at fast speeds, their feathers ignite and leave streaks of flame across the sky.
-Rumor has it that the seaponies have a statue that looks like an alicorn in their kingdom. Hmm, I wonder...
-When Heartburn is angry, the inside of their throat lights up like a dragon about to breathe fire.
-Heartburn has/had a good relationship with the dragons, and hung out with them. Often swimming in lava pools with them. ['Namby pamby pony princesses' couldn't do so, though. Which is why the dragons are so critical of Celestia in particular. Despite governing the sun, like how Heartburn governed fire, she can't swim in lava.]
