reaper moths are aggressive pyraustras that live deep in the redwoods in massive hives surrounded by pollen storms created by the mushrooms that their territory holds.
typically, these 20 meter tall moths will attack anything that moves due to their habits if aggression, they'll even attack grass in the breeze if they can help it.

the spores from the mushrooms stimulate their senses to relax and become less agitated, allowing them to roam freely and somewhat peacefully. these spores allow the moths to be domesticated In a way. if they can be fed while under influence if the spores, they can grow attachment to their feeders, though once the effects if the spores run out, they will revert to their violent tendencies.

each hive of theirs usually occupies several moths (7-15 per hive) which can be terrifying especially if the atmosphere of red particles isn't prominent in their territory.
