status locally: Frequent
found in: Dormant in deep caves during winter, active in summer but during the day, in less deep caves and also in old abandoned houses.
diet: moths, mosquitoes, beetles and spiders
other info: start to fly an hour before sunset. 20cm wingspan in length. Samllest species of the family Rhinolophidae. another species of this family occur locally. in total, 15 species of bats were recorded locally.

I actually have never seen a bat in person before. I've known that bats do exist here though.
How did you get so close to him? Did you zoom in?

he was quite close actually, he was near the camera, not scared at all!
