OMG, IT'S MY CROSS-BREED ENTRY FOR 'S CONTEST!!! [link]
BREEDING CONTEST
Thanks to Professor Parcel's new invention, people are able to create all kinds of new Pokemon by leaving the originals at the local day-care center, with one parent holding the B.R.E.E.D. Thus the rules are simple.
This contest has two rounds, but I'll only tell you the first and keep the second as a secret:
In the first round, you need to make a new Pokemon breed of two different Pokemons from any Pokemon generation.
But it must be a breed, not a fusion, and it needs to look like the first form because it has just born."
When I thought about my entry for the contest, the first Pokemon that came to mind was, of course, SKARMORY! It's my no. 1 favorite Steel-type Pokemon, so I figured it would be perfect for a cross-breed. What Pokemon I should cross-breed it with, though, was more of a problem. Basically, I'm a whore for monster movies, and not just Pokemon; among my favorite franchises is that of Japanese kaiju, mostly Godzilla, and I wanted to make a Pokemon based off my favorite kaiju from the franchise - Rodan, a flying pterodactyl that terrorized the skies since 1956. At first glance, I wanted to use the B.R.E.E.D. with an Aerodactyl, since they're pterosaurs obviously, but then I realized that it did not evolve, and I bet that the contest required evolutionary families if nothing else. Then I thought of the Charmander line; Charmeleon was my favorite Pokemon when I first got into the franchise, and Charizard's the only non-legendary flying Fire type. And just like that, it hit me; why not slap on the B.R.E.E.D. and yiff with a Charizard? The end result is this guy, my Mystery Dungeon OC Kasahane (kasai+hane, Japanese for "Fire Wing") the Ptermor.

Ptermor (Pterosaur+Armor)
- Steel/Fire (but can use Flying-type moves too)
- Created by breeding Charizard with Skarmory (me!) when one of them holds the B.R.E.E.D. item [link]
- Firebird PokΓ©mon
Following the success of the B.R.E.E.D, numerous scientists wanted to try it out on various other Pokemon. But one particular young researcher was more interested than most: fifteen-year-old Andrew Tempest, the aspiring Flying-type gym leader of Nymbus Town. Together with his side assistant, Aang the Avatar, Andrew decided to test out the B.R.E.E.D. on two of his favorite Pokemon: Skarmory and Charizard. While both boys were excited about Project Flying Monster, as it came to be called, Aang was more cautious about the experiment, fearing that the end result could cause major havoc. But his Skarmory, Fawkes, was persistent; when the time came, he took matters into his own hands and "carried out the experiment" with his childhood sweetheart, Andy's Charizard Kazan.
It was an experiment that would change the two boys' lives forever. When the egg Kazan laid hatched, what a fearsome, though tiny, beast emerged; its skin was armor plated and brilliant red, and blue knife-like blades stretched between its wings, which curled and uncurled as it stared up at its parents and their trainers. As Fawkes tried to nuzzle it with his beak, however, it screeched in indignance, demanding its first meal, and slashed at him with his claws, causing all of them to recoil in shock. From that moment on, Andy knew that this was not a creature to be taken lightly; if it wanted something, you'd better give it to him!
As the armored monster grew, Andy and Fawkes both understood that it would be a good idea for the latter to give the food instead of the former, increasing his child's respect for him. But its time in the lab was not to last; when it had grown to the size of its father, the lab where they were staying temporarily was raided by poachers - as usual. When Andy and his FRIMBELLA tried to protect their project, however, it was the project itself that settled the argument. For as the poachers attempted to bag the armored firebird, their kidnapping attempts only made it angry, and caused it to undergo a wonderful and terrifying change. And when Ptermor gets angry, virtually everything else gives way . . .
"PTERMOR relies on its hard but lightweight armor to protect itself from predators. Its small wings surprisingly powerful, enabling it to fly for limited periods, and it keeps buoyant with the gases in its stomach. However, these gases may also be used as fuel for its devestating Flamethrower, which can reach 1000 degrees Farenheit."

My Mystery Dungeon fursona, Fawkes the Skarmory (see my account name and avatar), fathered this guy along with Kazan (Japanese for "volcano") the Charizard, and when he isn't training with me, he's either helping his mom do housework or hangin' out with his friends, the other B.R.E.E.D. hybrids (see the other entries to the contest for more of those ) And don't forget Aang the Avatar! He's going to be a Pokemon trainer in Pokemon: Iron and Copper, my fanfics with Pokemon in the Kroel region, and he specializes in Light-type Pokemon. And hopefully, Kasahane will be part of his team someday
Hope you like him

The flamethrower bit looks awesome haha. Also Nice pokemon mix. I would suggest slowing down when you draw and make the lines smoother.

Thanks! I tend to use a "color-me-in" method to my works, as illustrated by this procedure: 1) photocopy the drawing to clean it up; 2) color in the photocopy; 3) post artwork So I suppose smoothing the lines would be a bit of a challenge.

And yes, the Flamethrower bit does look awesome. I often throw in attack images when drawing Pokemon individually, and this was a perfect example. Kasahane here is basically barbecuing a marauding Sceptile that attempted to eat her for breakfast . . . and paid a most horrific and embarrassing price. The moral of the story? Never pick on someone who's got a type advantage against you. You could be pwned, or even more dreadful, openly embarrassed in public!
