Description
**IMPORTANT**
I have been getting comments about whether or not using liquid nails is safe. I don't know. If you're not comfortable using it, don't use it. I used it and I'm ok, but I very rarely wear them. I would not suggest wearing them frequently. Furthermore, The liquid nails worked alright at first, but I found the teeth would fall off after a bit. I'm still trying to find a way to adhere the teeth to the retainer successfully. I have tried hot glue and super glue, neither of which worked. I will update if I find a more successful adhesive. Thank you, take care, and be safe.
**IMPORTANT**
Here's a tutorial I whipped up on how to make fake teeth for cosplay
I apologize if anything is spelled wrong or if I misused grammar, I didn't really proof read it

I would advise against it :/ Maybe try asking your orthodontist?

As long as its non-toxic I don't see why that woulnt work

just a thought, but couldnt you something like fixodent to hold them in since they fall out?

Faxen In reply to Tirnel [2014-06-02 20:42:00 +0000 UTC]
Not sure! The dentures themselves don't fall out of your mouth easily and I'm not sure if fixodent would permanently fuse the fake nails to the plastic.

hm I wonder why? You're supposed to use it on your teeth with their retainers and I had no problem with it?

Zexionandbandit [2013-10-14 19:05:13 +0000 UTC]
these worked great! But they started to hurt like a retainer type hurt and we had to take them out, is there something we did wrong?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Faxen In reply to Zexionandbandit [2013-10-14 19:55:36 +0000 UTC]
well if you have a regular retainer its possible its just your teeth slightly shifting. I had braces about 6 years ago and I haent worn my retainer in years, so my teeth shift every now and then so my teeth hurt like a retainer after a few hours of wear or when I take them out. I'd say it's pretty normal.

This is probably such a silly question but I want to be super careful kdsfbd when you put the pellets in do you keep them in the bag, or do you dump them out of the bag? ;;
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Faxen In reply to SoapyKind [2013-08-04 22:05:38 +0000 UTC]
it's ok you take the pellets out of the bag.

do you put all the pellets in at once? like does the two bags make one row of teeth and you just put em all in at once to merge together
or does each bag make one row and i do one bag at a time?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Faxen In reply to LuddyFeli [2013-07-25 19:14:42 +0000 UTC]
nah don't put them in all at once, 2/3 of one bag should be enough for the top and then another 2/3 after for the bottom

I've left the pellets in the water for at least five minutes now with two attempts at reheating the water, and they still haven't gone clear. What do I do?
👍: 0 ⏩: 2
soundoflightning In reply to Toaster-Omlette [2014-06-17 17:23:17 +0000 UTC]
I had the same thing. I boiled my water in an electric tea kettle and when it was boiled I pourred it right over the pellets (they were in a mug) and they turned white instantly.
Also: I'm not really comfortable putting caulk in my mouth, any other suggestions for how to glue them on?

Faxen In reply to Toaster-Omlette [2013-05-26 06:58:48 +0000 UTC]
if they havent gone clear either the water isn't hot enough or the pellets are defective im guessing

Hi there It's the very top where the plastic might start to cover your gums. You want your gums to be showing so the teeth look more natural

Do the set tend to slide around? (i'd imagine not for this technique but i'd still like to ask. ) because i've tryed quite a few methods and they always seem to /work/ but they're not the best because they don't stay in place, or fall out etc.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Faxen In reply to deidaraobito [2013-02-07 21:37:13 +0000 UTC]
if you form them tightly to your teeth they are very form fitting and dont slide around

how long should you mold the pellets after taking them out of the cup?????

you should hold them on your teeth until they've mostly cooled

Does this adhere to your teeth, as in, is it difficult to take off when you put the mold on your mouth to dry?
I have enamel problems, and I don't want to risk it coming off
Otherwise this is a great tutorial!!

Faxen In reply to Zaliea [2012-10-26 03:11:06 +0000 UTC]
no it doesnt adhere to your teeth at all I would consider consulting a dentist if you're worried, but i imagine you'd be fine

soundoflightning In reply to Zaliea [2014-06-17 17:24:46 +0000 UTC]
I tried it, and although they were snug it fit just like a basic retainer and those are pretty okay for your teeth. But Faxen is right, consult your dentist if you're worried.

Awesome! This actually helps me out. ^^ And for the dental pellets you can just get those at a dental shop? :/
Is there anything else that would work like wax that was used for braces or what not?

i think you can get pellets at a dental shop, but I'm not sure. This method is not safe for anyone using braces, however :/

When I used to. It's sorta ... hmm.. something that keeps the teeth straight. It's in the back of the teeth though.
