i like the blunt yellow color of this. its like, a fading yellow, yet something that looks like it could burst back to life. the darker color in the background really lights up the yellow in the sunflower as well.

The realism and idea is great. The dark colours and drooping petals really create the tone for it and the fading yellow coincides with the title. Very nice,

sad but true, summer is gone.
The selecticve colouring is not
so my taste but i like the look
of the flower. The whites are
a bit too much burnt out on it
though.

I've already considered taking a photo of such a dying flower,too.
But up to now there was no chance to.
This one is exactly what I think about when I look at old flowers.
The colors are quite lovely and the perspective is just adorable.

love the center of the flower, has a distinct triangular shape evolving in its decay... interesting composition with the petals like rays coming from the center of the flower.

Great job. I like this concept, and the selective coloration really emphasizes how the life has drained out of the flower. Good composition as well, and the contrast is perfect for this shot.
