I saw a stamp that says "Homestuck is better than Hetalia". So, I decided to say "Hetalia is better than Homestuck".But honestly, I tried to read Homestuck. It didn't go down too well. My eyes began scrunching up painfully. Part of it was because I didn't like the art. But just from the beginning, I really couldn't get into it. It just didn't appeal to me, to be honest. Not my cup of tea, you could say. From the beginning that I read, I didn't see a plot, although if I had continued, there probably would have been one.
I just couldn't handle it. I don't like it. At all. I honestly don't care if other people like it, though. It's fine if you're a fan.
I love Hetalia. It had a more interesting beginning, imo, with the funny world conference and stuff. I thought it was amusing, and it seemed to start out with a plot, although that kind of dwindled away in the later episodes. (I'm talking about the anime, not the manga). It just appealed to me more.
So therefore, in my opinion, Hetalia > Homestuck.
Hetalia has a shit fandom though.
However, from speaking with many Homestuck fans, they said that Homestuck also has a shitty fandom.
Some people say "But you can't compare the two". Maybe they're right.

Broseph, you need to calm down. Just from reading what I've seen you posting and from the way you act, I can tell you're one of those black-and-white people, so I'll try to keep this in a pesimistic view instead of optimistic.
I've read Homestuck (Not all of it, mind you. I started so late, there's so much.... xD) and watched Hetalia. Many people have. The difference is, some people have different opinions. I, personally, like Hetalia over Homestuck. But you need to face facts - Not everyone shares your point of view. You're going to meet weeaboos and furfags, but let me tell you, you haven't met any yet.
Also, I am technichally a "weeaboo", though I prefer "fangirl", because weeaboo sounds uber retarded. But you will NEVER see me say

As you clearly think all "weeaboos" do. If you've ever met someone like that, then I'll let you know us other "weeaboos" actually disown people like that. Maybe you should follow your own logic about not criticizing a book unless you've read it. "Weeaboos" HATE those furfags because

Do you not even know what a weeaboo is? A weeaboo is an extremely ignorant fan of japanese animation and graphic novels, spurning anything that ISN'T Japanese for something that is. Shuffling around your gallery and DA, I can see you aren't a weeaboo, as you don't bash on anything that isnt from "grorious nippon desu", you're just a hetalia fanatic.
The person I was bagging on earlier was saying that the author of Homestuck was ripping off one of his precious goddamn mangas just because he didn't do his research and thought that the Trolls of Homestuck were human versions of the western zodiac (fun fact: they aren't. The sign on their shirt influences a few things about their appearence and maybe their abilities, but thats all and it doesn't apply to all of them). And they began talking with other people on other mangas Hussie has "ripped off" without considering that maybe HE DOESN'T READ MANGA. And thats a pretty goddamn weeabooish trait.
Looks like someone's being a hypocrite about knowing their facts and went and posted a rant on a stamp I've pretty much given up on. (With the exception of the owner, who was simply stating her opinion and not bashing on Homestuck or its fans)

SKREW THEM BOTH! LET'S ALL GO WATCH DEATH NOTE! ....I kid. I respect both fandoms, I mean, people like what people like, and there's no real need to argue about it. Hetalia and Homestuck are near impossible to compare.(And I know, I have some knowlege of both.) Hetalia is a comedy. It's supposed to be complete nonsense. Homestuck however, is supossed to have a plot, and be a bit more serious. So why compare them? Seriously? Compare Homestuck to things LIKE Homestuck. (And I don't mean the plot or whatever, I mean the level of seriousness and such.) Compare Hetalia to things LIKE Hetalia. (Like parodies and comedies and such) I never really understood this, but Hetalia and Homestuck fans just FREAKING HATE each other. I'm not even joking. I mean, I love hetalia. I love it. But I'm not a fan of Homestuck. Not really. (My friend is obsessed with it and introduced me to it.) I just don't have time to devote to something like that, and I don't really find the idea of candy-corn headed trolls with no existing grammer an appealing concept. Don't judge me. Acually, in Act 5 I think that Hussie kind of explained this, but in the most complicated way ever. Technically he did get his name on his 13th birthday by having the trolls on the meteor enter in ridiculous names for the humans, but the game rejected all of them and entered in names it found more reasonable and then wrote it accross his entire timeline so to him he was always called John and that was what everyone else called him his entire life.

But yeah I kind of just explained it as simply as I could, after a while of reading you some how start actually getting this stuff.... 'Kay, skipping the dumb introduction, let's get to the point.
I like Hetalia more, because its characters give fans a lot of room for personal interpretation - since we're talking about countries, they have a really wide range of emotions and history behind them one can use. Also, the idea isn't the first time used personifications of nations, but it was made commonly enjoyable and not too hard to undestand. Lastly, APH can get someone to like history and stuff. What about Homestuck?

It's your opinion though. I like Homestuck since it's complex and strange, the characters are nice and you can relate to them. Hetalia is just bishi countries.

Same, I tried reading homestuck and really couldn't get into it. The only reason I was curious about it was because I'd seen loads of art for it and I thought it looked kinda cool....I still have no idea what it'supposed to be about though
