I saw a stamp that says "Homestuck is better than Hetalia". So, I decided to say "Hetalia is better than Homestuck".But honestly, I tried to read Homestuck. It didn't go down too well. My eyes began scrunching up painfully. Part of it was because I didn't like the art. But just from the beginning, I really couldn't get into it. It just didn't appeal to me, to be honest. Not my cup of tea, you could say. From the beginning that I read, I didn't see a plot, although if I had continued, there probably would have been one.
I just couldn't handle it. I don't like it. At all. I honestly don't care if other people like it, though. It's fine if you're a fan.
I love Hetalia. It had a more interesting beginning, imo, with the funny world conference and stuff. I thought it was amusing, and it seemed to start out with a plot, although that kind of dwindled away in the later episodes. (I'm talking about the anime, not the manga). It just appealed to me more.
So therefore, in my opinion, Hetalia > Homestuck.
Hetalia has a shit fandom though.
However, from speaking with many Homestuck fans, they said that Homestuck also has a shitty fandom.
Some people say "But you can't compare the two". Maybe they're right.

Eh, I like them both but Homestuck takes the cake. I tried for six months to get through the first act and failed horridly every time, one month ago I tried again, saying I would skip through any boring shit. the set up takes so long because there is a bunch of confusing over complicated crap to get out of the way before you can even get into the story. after that its pretty legit. and even though the art does seem bland when compared to any animation that is colored and detailed. its very humorous to see a small child with no arms flailing about.
I know where you are comeing from though, at first I was so confused on how something so boring was so popular. I thought there was some secret underground world of internet trolls trying to make the rest of the world think they where to dumb and missing out on something great.

I took me awhile to get into both of them. I thought Hetalia was just wrong and they were just ... trying to hard. But later I really got into it and found out it was hilarious. Homestuck took me a few days to understand and once I thought it through, I got addicted and I reread different parts of it all the time.
Both have shit fan bases though ; ;

...I totally agree with you. Like about everything pretty much- and when I saw this I was happy someone made it because I saw that "Homestuck is better than Hetalia" stamp too, but really I can't get into it..the arts strange and not my taste, and its...kinda boring.

I've tried watching Hetalia a long time ago, and I didn't like it. A few weeks ago I gave it a second chance. I watched about 14 episodes, but I don't just get into it. Yes, I agree, it's hilarious. But it's just not that interesting to me.
When I first started reading Homestuck, it confused me as well. But later it all started somewhat making sense. Now I'm a loyal fan waiting for updates.
So in my opnion, Homestuck is better than Hetalia.

I enjoyed a lot of Hetalia but not all of it however, Homestuck....i tried so hard to like it for my friends but its just so dull!! I read up to Act 6!! And it was so bone dry to me i wanted to keep going for them but then i couldent anymore it was to much SOME art is good but the story was so bland...ugh and lame!
I like some of the characters but they never made it worth it i read so much and it still made no fucking sense. The sad thing is 90% of my friends LOVEEEE Homestuck and never shut up about it...it sucks. They have every right to like what they want and we don't have to all like the same things but it just seems like it gets annoying constantly hearing about "lul bucket bucket" "eridans forever alone!!! and rapes everyone!!!" "Strong rest!!" <----all references to the comic

Honestly, in my opinion I'm currently reading homestuck and I'm enjoying it! But what point did you
stop at? To be honest, when I started it I disliked it but, told me just to keep on reading it
and I enjoyed it a lot. It gets A LOT better so if you stopped at only the beggining then continue till you are at act 5 because thats when the trolls are beggining to show up.
Also, I LOVED hetalia! I couldn't stop watching it! Its so darn hilarious! So, when I went to a convention I went to
a hetalia panel because I loved it so much! But honestly, why do hetalia lovers and homestuck lovers not get along. they never seemed to ever get along.

Homestuck isn't even funny. Weird kids and creepy trolls cussing in every single sentence and horrible art+plot? Yeah. You can tell Homestuck is my favorite. :3

They're sorta the opposite plotwise. Hetalia starts out with a coherent plot and then gradually loses it.... whereas Homestuck starts out with a random-events-plot and then gets - uh, really confusing. It's like comparing apples and oranges - they're both stories, but beyond that you might like neither, both, or either depending on what attracted you in the first place. I admit I'm a homestuck (although I haven't read the updates lately), but I also like Hetalia a lot. I think the Homestuck fandom is a lot more segmented than the Hetalia one though, so you've got a whole ton of bad-art bad-plot don't-get-canon stuff, but there's also a huge, clever community that basically ignores the squabbling masses.
