Description
I saw a stamp that says "Homestuck is better than Hetalia". So, I decided to say "Hetalia is better than Homestuck".But honestly, I tried to read Homestuck. It didn't go down too well. My eyes began scrunching up painfully. Part of it was because I didn't like the art. But just from the beginning, I really couldn't get into it. It just didn't appeal to me, to be honest. Not my cup of tea, you could say. From the beginning that I read, I didn't see a plot, although if I had continued, there probably would have been one.
I just couldn't handle it. I don't like it. At all. I honestly don't care if other people like it, though. It's fine if you're a fan.
I love Hetalia. It had a more interesting beginning, imo, with the funny world conference and stuff. I thought it was amusing, and it seemed to start out with a plot, although that kind of dwindled away in the later episodes. (I'm talking about the anime, not the manga). It just appealed to me more.
So therefore, in my opinion, Hetalia > Homestuck.
Hetalia has a shit fandom though.
However, from speaking with many Homestuck fans, they said that Homestuck also has a shitty fandom.
Some people say "But you can't compare the two". Maybe they're right.

I would rather sit through a Justin Beiber concert (no offense if you're a fan) than read Homestuck.
To me personally, it had no plot and no meaning. The only possible meaning of Homestuck is to turn perfectly normal people into wanna-be trolls.
So yeah.
Awesome stamp ya got there.

Homestuck's boring to me.
Hetalia used to be my favorite series
I've grown a bit out of it, but I still like it.

Sorry, I can't remember the link off the top of my head and I'm really tired right now, but ~Rejected-Letterbomb is the one who created it, so you can look around her gallery for it.

Yeah same here, I tried Homestuck but it's not my thing, but I adore Hetalia.
Although MLP has been growing on me lately...

Yup.
That's fine, however, I've grown to be a little obsessed with MLP. XD I just find it intriguing and fun to watch, the fandom is a bit crazy but I can handle it.

i dont like either of them.
Heatalia is better is better (visaully). but one thing I don't like is their fandoms.
Can you believe that the Homestuck fandom made a Homestuck anime?
But still, Homestuck is utterly terrible. All you do is click click click click.

It really doesn't bother me that they made an anime out of it.

Yes, I was unimpressed by Hetalia. Not just 'let's spice up history with your standard vapid, androgynous bishounen stereotyping whole countries' but 'let's also give them shitty one-liners like 'Pasta pasta! ^______^' and make up for them being shitty one-liners by repeating it over and over and over again.' Not to mention, 'Let's also say that this show is meant to make people interested in history while our research is about as well done as the History Channel. And no, not the old History Channel with respected documentors. The new one, owned by Disney, that talks about ghosts and aliens.'
I would rather watch BBC's Horrible Histories, to be honest.

Yes, I am a Hetalia fan and I too was a bit annoyed with Italy saying Pasta!~ and Ve!~ but it's nothing really to get upset about.

I'm as annoyed as when another flash in the pan Cartoon Network show relies on rehashed Ren and Stimpy gags. Just enough to never want to watch the show and wonder how in the world it ever got so popular.

I really don't get how people like homestuck. I know it's their cup of tea but I read a few pages and my brain went "FDJDUUSGSIAGAIJ" (trancelation= What the frudge did I just read?) it's just my opinion that I like a anime/manga full of sexy men rather then a web comic that's in my opinion boring and doesn't get to the "point" (if there is one). Like I said just my opinion

I'm a fan of both personally, and I felt the same way when I first started reading Homestuck until my friends pushed me into reading more. To be fair, the plot did take a while to present itself whereas Hetalia, you kinda knew what was going on at the bat. Then something just happened to the plot and was never heard from again

How far into Homestuck did you originally read? You do realize that Homestuck was originally not supposed to have a plot right?

12? Really? Is that your usual determining point for whether or not something will be good? I insist you read farther, but if it's not your thing, then hey, it's not your thing.

When does the plot point happen? I've been sitting ony my ass "reading" since 9:00 (it's now midnight) and it's still boring as hell.
But from what I've heard, it gets exciting. Could you give me some spoilers, chap?

I don't know. I was getting excited that the plot was going somehwere when it went back to that kid with the sunglasses and began all over again.

(Late reply is late)
Basically, these kids get trapped in a game and they play the game in order to create a new universe (since their current one is well, doomed.)
Things usually don't pick up until Act 5 when the troll characters appear and everyone dies then comes back and yadda yadda yadda...
If you don't end up liking it, I understand. Homestuck is definitely not for anyone (but really, what is?) and takes awhile to get into.

Oh wow, it makes a lot more sense just in the first paragraph x) I'll perhaps get into it. It's just kinda' tedious, clicking through it all. BUT EVERYTHING TAKES TIME.
