I saw a stamp that says "Homestuck is better than Hetalia". So, I decided to say "Hetalia is better than Homestuck".But honestly, I tried to read Homestuck. It didn't go down too well. My eyes began scrunching up painfully. Part of it was because I didn't like the art. But just from the beginning, I really couldn't get into it. It just didn't appeal to me, to be honest. Not my cup of tea, you could say. From the beginning that I read, I didn't see a plot, although if I had continued, there probably would have been one.
I just couldn't handle it. I don't like it. At all. I honestly don't care if other people like it, though. It's fine if you're a fan.
I love Hetalia. It had a more interesting beginning, imo, with the funny world conference and stuff. I thought it was amusing, and it seemed to start out with a plot, although that kind of dwindled away in the later episodes. (I'm talking about the anime, not the manga). It just appealed to me more.
So therefore, in my opinion, Hetalia > Homestuck.
Hetalia has a shit fandom though.
However, from speaking with many Homestuck fans, they said that Homestuck also has a shitty fandom.
Some people say "But you can't compare the two". Maybe they're right.

Honestly I tried watching Hetalia but...It didn't really catch me, and Homestuck did so, I'm gonna respect your opinion, but state my own.

I never got Homestuck, no matter how hard I tried to read it for my few friends into it. For me there was no good humor, just obnoxious child humor. Like "Ohh Haha you made his name butt-face"
And I'm a huge grammar Nazi, so when I got to the "trolls" actually typing shit I nearly drowned in my own rage.
I just like Hetalia's humor. Racist jokes are my thing, probably because I'm around people way older than myself half the time. Besides, I always liked anything that jokes about stereo types. it's a funnier subject than[something people should not take so seriously/personal], whatever the fuck Homestuck jokes are. And that's what people watch anime for right? Entertainment? At least I do.
I don't want to sit their and think about characters and shit. I want a quick laugh. Am I alone on that one?
Also Hetalia episodes are like 5 minutes each, so I don't have to dedicate so much time to watching it, and I can do something productive in life while still having the enjoyment of watching a kick ass show.
APH also has a quite different plot, seeing that it fallows historical events [somewhat, not too much]
But if you pay attention, and love History it's freaking hysterical.
Then again, it's hard to even state my own god damn opinion anymore over my anime of choice because so many people flip their shit over another person's opinion opposing their own.
Then I see a comment below mine about people being naive, acting like a big shot when you clearly explain that it's OBVIOUSLY all opinions. And calling it dumb is ones own opinion, but bitching over something as stupid as an anime kinda saddens me. Personally I don't give two fucks who like homestuck, because that's their own thing and none of that matters in the real world xD

You have to read Homestuck as an entirety to understand it. A lot of it is left to imagination, also.
Looking at the first page and judging it, whilst not reading the whole thing, is very naive.
Nothing is better than anything. It's all opinionated.
The comments I see in here are pretty stupid, if you ask me. If only people could learn to accept what other people like, and NOT judge them or call it 'boring' or 'dumb', people wouldn't fight about it. It's childish. Everyone needs to step off and keep their panties out of knots when someone insults their interests.

I agree with the opinion of this stamp. I also tried to read Homestuck, but didn't get very far. Maybe the story (rather or not it really has a plot) would have picked up a bit longer but...meh. While I do think the premise has its potential, the way it was executed was the problem for me.

the reason why I don't Hetalia as much as I used to is because there's no story AT ALL
Homestuck is boring yes
the fandom is horrible
but I gotta say I love it, the story is fucked up and confusing but I guess it gets to a part where it's pretty good.
The art is not that bad, there's part's where it's extremely detailed and beautiful mash of colors and scenery.
