Great. Since I saw the film about the book ages ago I never got rid of the weird and ugly picture that the movie showed of Morla and Atreju. This is kind of helped, it's almost exactly how I imagine the scene.

The movie, or the book? I've read the book, but never seen the film.
I dig the use of black you used to frame this. Makes the beastie look like he/she is part of that darkness in the greenery too.

worthy... think of passing it through photoshop...
it would add a tone of mystery, ..

Thanks, I did play with adding tones and colour in photoshop but I preferred it B&W for some reason.,

Great attention to detail. Nice setting. I think the hands and arms could use a little work, but it's nothing major. Over all, this is a very well done piece.
