Name: Golden Russet
Nicknames: Goldie (only by family)
Species: Earth Pony
Parents: Applejack and Soarin'
Special Talent: Apple Farming
Personality: Like all Apples, Russet is a hard worker and prides himself for being so. He never shirks his chores. He's also like his mom in the sense that he's very dependable. If somepony needs his help, he'll be there. His one flaw is that he's a habitual liar. He often lied his way out of trouble as a colt and he simply never outgrew it, even when it stopped working the way it did when he was little.
Bio: Nopony expected Russet to be born at all. Soarin simply came to Sweet Apple Acres for the pies as far as anypony could tell. They never suspected that he was really going to see Applejack until she mysteriously started gaining weight. Everypony knew she was too hard a worker for it to be from Apple family cooking. That left only one other possibility: she was with foal. Needless to say, a wedding soon followed as Granny Smith and Big McIntosh weren't going to let Soarin weasel out of his responsibility (not that he wanted to). Russet was raised just like any other Apple colt after he was born. He was given chores to do based on what he was capable of. There isn't much else to say about Russet. He's a simple country pony who lives a simple country life in Ponyville.
Fun Facts:

- When he was a colt, Russet sometimes wished that he had been born a pegasus so he could relate to his dad more. He doesn't think like that as much now, but he has that thought every now and again.

- Russet wanted to be a Wonderbolt when he was a colt. He quickly outgrew that dream after he earned his cutie mark.

- While Russet does love apples, he hates applesauce. It freaked Applejack out when he was a baby.

- Russet has a pet dog named Patches. How he obtained him is rather funny considering his own history. A visiting noblepony from Canterlot lost track of his show dog, a purebred black mouth cur, long enough for said dog to mate with the Apple family's border collie, Winona. About nine weeks later, Winona had a healthy litter of pups. Luckily for the Apple family, Winona's mate was a breed of herding dog as well, so they could market the pups as such. Russet bonded with a pup that had a brindle and white coat which Applejack allowed him to keep once the pups came of age to be adopted.

- Russet is afraid of vampire fruit bats. He can handle regular fruit bats just fine since they're cuter and more tame by comparison.

Yet another character who shares a hairstyle with one of my OCs because it just suits him. I was tempted to give him Sunburst's markings too, but I opted against it. He'd look too much like Troubleshoes and give the wrong impression about who his father is.

Edit: I changed his eye color to a shade of green as it's more believable for a SoarinJack foal.
