Wonder-Red of The Wonderful 101 saying a variety of nice things.
These are part of a set I'm doing for my Wonder-Red ask blog on Tumblr. This is about half of the drawings in the full set.
The idea is that instead of sharing a romantic love, it's more like the love you share with a family member or a best friend. It is in a way a Valentine's Day special, although platonic.

They have no correlation with each other, there is no order.
But, the one where he has his mask on... Red, didn't you just coddle us? Oh right, each drawing is independent and unrelated. Either way it's kinda out of place, I like it for its uniqueness from the rest of the set, although the artwork for it is probably the worst. There's also one where the viewer's hand is held by Red's. I tried to make our hand as racially ambiguous as possible, but I color everything with such a low saturation that it's just kinda got a grey, rubbery look. Oh well. I don't like that one.
I tried to go for some sayings that wouldn't sound cliche, and some that are cliche intentionally. You've gotta hear some of the same old sappy shit, but something a bit more interesting along the way (although it appears to me that the sappy cliche ones are actually the more popular ones on Tumbr).
Some of them get a little too sweet and kinda make me uncomfortable. Red, what was that thing you were saying about backing-off?

Some of these I actually really like, I might try doing something else with them in the future.
