Description
This is a port from PDC '03 Windows Media Player 11 for Vista to Windows XP with permission from [link]Instructions inside.

Use the Change version info tutorial supplied in the pack, it will take a very long time to replace the bitmaps AND PNGs...
The miniplayer is unmodified, since it wasn't changed in the vista version too.

You can do that yourself, it's V easy:
Save this image to desktop: [link]
Open ResHack.exe which is located in the Change version info folder. Drag the wmploc.dll from the folder (not from system32)
Go to Bitmap>4012>1033, right click it and select replace resource, open the 4012.bmp file you downloaded then replace. Do the same with 4013>1033, (the file name doesn't have any affect on the resource) Then save, and place it to system32.
I'm not about to change the icon in the official version...

Damn, i hate photobucket, not only it limits the size, it also converts every image to low quality jpg. Anyway here is a PNG: [link] in mspaint save it as a 24bit BMP.

ResHack is good for BMPs because it can display them, I always use ResHack for wmp skins.

If you have the backed up XP wmploc.dll, save the icon: "Save [Icon Group : 102 : 1033]" to desktop, and replace it in the longhorn wmploc - "replace resource" and select the icon you saved.

You or somebody else who has german wmp can translate it in ResHack, by copying and pasting all the text stuffs (dialog, strings, menus). That's how my skins were being translated.

Off topic: I noticed that in every comment you leave your name, to make that less trouble you can just add your name to the signature, it will look the same only under a line.
