By the way, it is currently "instructions.rtf", not "instructions.txt".

No you misunderstand, the APPLICATION was much needed. I don't like the ".ini" files. I do like updates though. Thank you for your work.

Great, if my feature request for Rainmeter makes it trough I will definitely put this to use to improve the usability of my Unity for Rainmeter!
If not I'll have to ask my friend to code an entire application from scratch to make the same thing possible that I have in mind...

I'm getting an error when I try to run the config.exe

Check the cfg file, you may be missing a line or having 1 too much.

Xcitement In reply to fediaFedia [2010-11-28 21:24:31 +0000 UTC]

I had an empty line between the last line in the variable and the [Files] line. That solved it.

Xcitement In reply to Xcitement [2010-11-28 21:58:04 +0000 UTC]

Thanks got that working, however now I'm trying to get the auto refresh skin to work when you change a variable and click set.

settings.inc in the same folder with signalsource.ini

[Refresh]
Command=/!RainmeterRefresh #SKINSPATH#\Xperiment\SignalSource

Took out all the spaces in every file and directory to be on the safe side. The skin lods, the configurator loads it makes the changes to the variable but when you click set it's not refreshing. I wonder what small little POS I'm missing.

poiru [2010-07-22 06:57:20 +0000 UTC]

You should change settings.ini to settings.cfg or something. You're only asking for trouble with the .ini extension (Rainmeter/RainBrowser may throw errors as .ini files are assumed to be skins)

fediaFedia In reply to poiru [2010-07-22 07:37:58 +0000 UTC]

Yeah we'll be having some major updates to this, including the method you mentioned once, you know, the one with /Skin

For as long as Rainmeter has been around, it's shocking that no body has put together a GUI for the popular modding app. Awesome work! Thanks a million! This will go into legend.

I also have that same problem with the description line above the input box. The text is black and can't be seen.

fediaFedia In reply to SaadBaig [2010-06-03 18:14:24 +0000 UTC]

Again, source code

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

SaadBaig [2010-06-03 16:37:28 +0000 UTC]

Okay. For my skin, I like the config window to be totally black as it will fit with my header. Now the problem is that the close "x" letter does not show anymore since it itself is black. I was wondering if you could possibally make an update that would be able to change the color of the X as well?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fediaFedia In reply to SaadBaig [2010-06-03 18:12:42 +0000 UTC]

Download AutoIT and change it in the source code

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SaadBaig In reply to fediaFedia [2010-06-03 20:46:22 +0000 UTC]

I've never worked with AutoIt3....and where is the source code?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fediaFedia In reply to SaadBaig [2010-06-03 20:49:30 +0000 UTC]

its easy, the source code is the au3 file, once you open youll find stuff like

$ExitButton = GUICtrlCreateLabel("x", 230, 43, 20, 20, $SS_CENTER)
GUICtrlSetColor(-1, 0x000000)

Changing that to

$ExitButton = GUICtrlCreateLabel("x", 230, 43, 20, 20, $SS_CENTER)
GUICtrlSetColor(-1, 0xffffff)

Will make the X white

toastbrotpascal [2010-06-01 20:49:48 +0000 UTC]

I'm going to use this for my skins. There's only little thing I found to be a bit weird:
Actually, the refresh action happens after each variable which is set. So, if I got a lot of variables, and all want to set them after each other, I got 10 or more updates which aren't really needed.

I actually changed the code, so the refresh action only happens, when the config-tool is closed via the x-button.

But thanks again

fediaFedia In reply to toastbrotpascal [2010-06-02 06:20:28 +0000 UTC]

We had refresh on close before, but refresh on set means the user can see their settings immediatelly.

Guess I'll use this for the future
But what I've been missing as long as I'm a rainmeter user is the ability to have kinda file-explorer window pop up to choose shortcuts, etc ...

Any possibilty something like this will come as an update?
