Project haltedThis is a working version of the concept by Alcko . He gave me the PSD file for his wonderful futuristic graphics which you can see in this screenshot.
The main element in the Seven project is the WB style. Which is a edit from stardock's Diamond, equipped with new images, changed some colors and positions. I'm working on it at the moment.
The other elements like the clock, updated rome thingy and Launcher are done already. Also the wallpaper has been resized to max 1440x900 with no quality loss.
I'm going to release Betas soon.

Thanks, I'm not working on the dock anymore, some programmer is going to make it fully customizable and spinning. Well at least I hope so...

I think a concept of Windows 7, as you noticed in the title. Nobody knows what will 7 look like in the future, and M1 with the vista look is only a first step to the final. 7 has a long way to go.

Ubuntu 7.10 and Ubuntu 8.01 are going to look a lot alike.
Windows 95 and Windows 98 and Windows 2000 all looked alike
All Windows NT operating systems (except NT5, which is XP) looked alike.

Did XP and Vista look alike? No. The most important thing in Seven will be a totally new interface, and in 2-3 years I'm SURE it will change drastically.

As good as it looks, the real Windows 7 will most likely look nothing like this. Plus Microsoft would never make a top taskbar.

That's the point, innovation is imp in customization. Making things look better. Besides Windows Seven will be released not soon. I think that this interface concept will do for now.

There is always quality loss with any resizeing, minus possibly "Nearest neighbour". Just the background is so blurred you won't notice it.
It looks nice. I wouldn't end up useing any of the extras, but it does look nice

Thanks, S-Spline XL resizing technology makes images like this without quality loss. The image is blurred by default, so absolutely no noticeable quality loss. All artifacts removed.
So "There is always quality loss with any resizing" fact doesn't qualify with this type of wallpaper.
