I wonder if it's possible to get that "new" design to other builds like 7057 or such ...

I don't know how come xp sp2 runs good as I had it and it worked bad on my system. Only vista and 7 works very very good on my system.

fediaFedia In reply to Silver-Chris [2009-04-13 14:03:19 +0000 UTC]

Maybe the difference is that i made a fresh install with SP2 bundeled vista iso, thats the only good way to experience service pack improvements

I still wish they could design a new start button.

The orb doesn't fit with the superbar IMO

/care
I think i wont be using windows 7 if vista sp2 works as smoothly as now
Also IMHO vista's UI is much more sophisticated

Not bad, but not good either, compared to vista sp2

fediaFedia In reply to Neobdium [2009-04-09 20:46:00 +0000 UTC]

Cheemster In reply to fediaFedia [2009-04-09 23:55:51 +0000 UTC]

hey it doesnt take me much longer either, but build 7077 only has a few minor changes other than bug fixes

ChocSoldier [2009-04-09 12:17:12 +0000 UTC]

Nice, I got 7068 fairly recently so I can't be bothered with 7077, might upgrade when the proper RC comes out.

Waoooo i don't have any word to describe it. It's amazing. If there are no more bugs in windows 7 (i think), please Microsoft release it soon. Wow!

Rounded superbar buttons were ugly

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

jpranaymartin In reply to WindowsNET [2009-04-11 06:32:22 +0000 UTC]

I sent them an email about the whole rounded edges thing - I, personally love square edges coupled with flat aero (instead of vista's bulges) - and they sent a reply saying that round edges are easier on the graphics engines... that they knew what's happening with every pixel on screen...

fediaFedia In reply to WindowsNET [2009-04-08 19:32:22 +0000 UTC]

the superbar has changed to a more vista-style one

fediaFedia In reply to FRISK01 [2009-04-08 16:41:59 +0000 UTC]

Also because the person who made it customized the taskbar to be small

fediaFedia In reply to balderoine [2009-04-08 19:32:49 +0000 UTC]

I think they screwed it up already, if 7000 ran like a dream, 7077 runs like vista sp0

av33 In reply to fediaFedia [2009-04-10 17:50:08 +0000 UTC]

that is true , windows 7 7077 runs a bit slower . xd

on the overall system? or in specific tasks?
Did you change your hardware or something? Did you updgrade or did a clean install?

alanpotter In reply to fediaFedia [2009-04-12 00:25:57 +0000 UTC]

I have just installed Windows 7 7077, and it works the same as 7057. Perhaps you were expecting to be faster the new builds, and as they were the same performance, you see it slower. It's just a guess, but happens.
