Description Firstly let me explain, i'm not here to quarrel or blame someone.
These days western world have a voice of "free tibet". Some of them even suggest to boycott the Beijing Olympic.
I see several quarrels on DA about it.
I just feel so bad for it.
I don't want to say agree or disagree here, i just want to say the truth.
By the way , I'm a selfish person, tibet problem is never my business. I just don't like people say dirty words to each other. DA is just a place for art and people who love art.

Here is what i know about Tibet.

The start is , a few people instigated the enmity , that caused tibet people (sorry i don't know how to translate it )killed some innocent passerby. Some foreigners faced the event, they can prove it true.
Again, i don't want to blame anyone, i just don't like violence.

That's all I want to say.
Why we don't just to choose a peace world? why fight?
Gossip means nothing, please use your own eyes.
I hope everyone can clam down, the "freers(i mean free + er...XD)",and our chinese.
Please make sure what's the truth.
And I don't know what's wrong with Olympic, it's just a sport game, i think it's pure, why don't just talk about sports?
You may be agree, thank you. You may disagree, that's all right.
I'm just here to say STOP quarreling on DA.
Please clam down.
1 year before, when i first registered here, it was a place that the only language was art.
I want to see the world again.
Thank you for reading.

ps. forget my horrible grammar plz, thank you XD

terrific art and speach

this is exactly why I tend to ignore political issues. to me people are just that, people. and the sad fact is that people fight, but there's no reason to get everyone involved in every single dispute, international or not. we're all here just being people.

Can I take him home? XD

It is true...I'm not living it, thus its not really any business of mine and I can only hold an opinion with what is told the news (which always seems to be bias in some way and only ever part of the story.) It is sad to see though that the Chinese government are taking such harsh actions ...It would be a pity to have a peaceful world event disturbed because of other things happening in the world (like this.)

It's possible that what I'm going to point out has already been written here. So forgive me if I'm repeating something already known.

I am a great admirer of any peaceful event, person or practice. The olympic games has been associated with peace for so very long. Winners, in the past, would be presented with a crown of olive leaves, which were a symbol of hope and peace. It's important to remember that no nation in this world has a spotless reputation. This event should be seen as a chance for everyone to learn a bit more about each other, and hope that it may change things for the better.

With that said, I agree that DA should be about the beauty of art, and sharing it. You have given so much to that environment... and once again, you have another amazing image to share with us. Well done!

I definitely agree with you on the whole quarrels thing. I don't know much about the Tibet issue myself, but if people want to get political and yell at each other, they should do it somewhere else. DA is a place for artists to show their work, not a political discussions board. And yeah, why can't we just have peace?

Ha. I live next door to an athlete. But I personally hate them. My neighbours that is. They're loud and antisocial and don't give a damn about anyone but themselves. The dads a trainer, and the sons are athletes. Or well were. One turned into a pot head it seems.

Hi Feimo,
You are so popular you will never see this. But I want to say, about the Tibet thing. First I personally admire the Dalai Lama as a spiritual teacher and am an American and I see a lot of the Free Tibet stuff. And I know some of our leaders go to other nations and say to them "you have done genocide". Or "let these people in this group have a part of your country for a separate nation"
But what the same people will NEVER say is that the US did enormous genocide of the Native Americans. And Bush would never say that the Native Americans Nations should have California and New York back to live on, or they would never meet with the president of the Native Nations in the US (yes, there is one but no one knows about him in the white culture) to talk about making deals. But yes, we in the US have genocide and a hidden nation of people as well.
Maybe the Free Tibet people would like to stay home and Free the Ojibwe first? Maybe not. So - opinions are like assholes - everybody has got one and we artists have no power, so fighting each other has no point at all.
Nice art my dear!

i know what you mean, there's a lot of violence in the world right now, and one needs a place to go to when one doesn't want to hear about it anymore... i was feeling exactly what you're feeling a few weeks ago (i still do but i was very vulnerable at that time), i want a peaceful world but sadly everyone says that that would be a perfect world and that would never happen... that's not what i want to think...

Feimo, your sentiment is commendable, but the reality is hard to achieve. I am Chinese but I do not live in China. I feel very strongly, however, about the recent events in Tibet and feel that it is necessary to speak out about it, even in DA.

So, although we would all love to live in a peaceful world, it is also, I feel, right to voice your own opinion when the situation calls for it.

To boycott the Olympics is just stupid. Sports bring entertainment and international friendship (so is art). I think all this drama is made for political reason. And I never understood anything to politics' logic.

Now on the picture. It's so beautiful, this man is handsome and look alive. The armour is very well detailed and the cloak look ethereal. Good job!

I definitely understand what you mean about quarrels here on DA. Sadly I have had plenty of anger directed towards me as well. I think saying that the only voice on here should be the sweet words of art is great. I think I may do a picture translating a peaceful environment, that may get through to some people when they look at it. Even though I don't get enough page views.... Thanks for saying that, I know alot of people watch you, so maybe they will pick up on it. Our world is to violent and money hungry and so much more I could say....Thanks Feimo

sorry i ranted a bit. beautiful picture btw, as usual.

I don't support the violence shown in this incident in any way and don't think I ever mentioned that I do. But your language belitted a cause that has a very real basis in human suffering. I'm not trying to start a fight, but I reserve the right to be offended by that. Your view is very valid and shared by many nationalists, but you're perpetuating the opinion that the party's greivances should not even be taken seriously, which has impeded the progress of human rights before.

I am fine with a difference of opinion and everyone expressing thier ideas, but as a general rule, calling a group that sees itself as repressed as "emo" and implying that they disturb the peace just to trouble others is a very skewed and disrespectful practice. Again, I don't condemn your thoughts...I merely find your rhetoric disturbing.
