I have already made this drawing: Forces of the Northern Night (inspired by some lines one of favourite norwegian metal bands Dimmu Borgir), as an art trade with the fantastic artist and I liked this pose and idea so much that I wanted to draw something similar with my own (my big fantasy tiger-oriental cat like felines) siderian character Stian (see more about him here: blackmystica.deviantart.com/ga… .Compared to the version of Rascal (Whiluna's bad ass character) I've changed a bit of the pose, mirrored him, changed the trees into mountains and thought of blue Northern Lights. Oh and I got the idea of blood...because that fits well to Stian.
I have an older version (which I still really love!) - but I thought that it would be cool with a bit of a newer version

indeed this fierce and powerful pose fits him so well! loved how you did the blood and how the auroras are on the top of Stian's head! it gave a really nice effect!
also your shading and incredible detail on the fur are stunning as always!

Thanks!! Yeah I felt that I had to mix in some reds, otherwise it was again a cold-colour-overload. And it also adds something typical to Stian's character.

Lol, thanks! yeah, Northern lights are popping up everywhere in my art now... Snow was already one of the main elements in my work, but now it gets company XD. Anyway I like these kind of poses for Stian; it's very typically him. It's slightly different as the pose I used for Rascal for example - if you look at drawings of this character you see that his overall appearance is different than Stian's and this I tried to show that in drawings of them XD

Aw well the northern lights are a beautiful phenomenon to have in your pieces I love seeing them, and the snow lol! And of course Stian and all your other Siderians.
