Species: siderian (a northern, horse-sized tiger-oriental cat-lynx like feline)

Birth place: arround the biggest siderian metacluster in Eurasia, called Notochord – located north in the mountain range that siderians call ‘the Spine’ (the Urals to humans)
Birth year/date (relative to Stian’s birth year) : -73
Death year (relative to Stian’s birth year): around +42 (around 115) - he reaches a normal old age for a siderian (85 in human years).

APPEARANCE
Appearance & reputation: noble, powerful and impressive with his big mane and thick fur on his back. He comes across a natural leader is seen as a hard, but good cluster coordinator.

Shoulder height: 1,66 m

Physical description
Body: quite tall and slender with a rather light skeleton. Tiger-like, straight to slightly concave back-line. Rather fine legs and average sized paws. Tail is also average in length. Overall rather average in most features.
Head: lion-like head with a heavy but not overly wide muzzle. Quite a pronounced chin. Long face with a straight profile. Average sized ears that follow the curves of his triangular-shaped face. The upperhalf of his hears is slightly curved inwards. Golden-yellow eyes.
Fur: entirely black. Full lion like mane and full 'spiky fur' on his back and tail. Hair at his ventral side and flanks is rather short. He has long lynx like tufts of hair on his ears.
Jewelry & accessories: no jewelry but he may have some personal belongings like specialized ecal-readers.

PERSONALITY & CHARACTER

Personality and mannerisms:He comes across as rather noble, reasonable and yet hard. He’s someone not to mess with and if needed, he doesn’t back off for violence. He doesn't care so much about his kids but would still protect them. When he’s the cluster coordinator of Notochord, he does his job well and takes it seriously with responsibility. He is dedicated, assertive and decisive. He has the appearance of a natural leader, listens to what others have to say but can make hard decisions if the situation requires that. Sometimes he can lose his temper a bit and in fights, he’s brutal and fierce.
Voice, manner of speaking: I don’t have a voice reference, but I remember his voice as rather low. He has a stern, nearly commanding way of talking.

Sexuality: heterosexual and polygamous as feck
Fears: Notochord getting invaded by Northern hyenas

Dreams: to continue his work as coordinator without much trouble.

Interest, hobbies, occupation: for most of his adult life, he is the coordinator of the biggest siderian Eurasian metacluster: Notochord. He has quite a busy task in keeping the neighbouring hyena clan at bay and has to coordinate the different operational groups of siderians.
Special skills: he’s quite a good natural leader.
STORY

I don’t know much about his childhood and his younger years but he may have gotten into the position as cluster coordinator already quite young – maybe in his late twenties. He has always taken his work seriously and worked well together with the other siderians who are involved in maintaining and coordinating things in the metacluster. He had become a central figure among siderians living around Notochord and he had created and open and tolerant atmosphere for siderians.

He got several kids with several mates but wasn’t involved in any of the parenting, alhtough he did look after them and protected them where needed. He came across as the ‘pride male’ of Notochord. When one of his mates died and their two cubs behind (Sasha and Tsjaiko), Nigras initially took care for them but later found a good foster-mother for them (one of Nigras’ other mates), who was willing to raise the two cubs. He made sure that his cubs were doing well, but kept himself mostly busy with cluster coordination tasks.
There was one returning problem that he constantly had to deal with; Northern hyenas, and particularly one big and strong clan, known as the Chorda clan. When one of his sons was out on patrol, he reported that there was a white siderian (Yves), clearly not a local, who seemed to have regular contact with the Chorda clan. Nigras kept a close eye on this guy and he was getting more sure that he was a spy for the hyenas. Later, he found out that his daughter Sasha actually had an affair with this spy. Nigras didn’t know what to do with this situation. If it wasn’t for his daughter’s feelings for the stranger, he would have killed or chased him away. But he had to think of something else now and came with the idea to use the love with Sasha as a leverage and press him to give up information about the hyenas. He had caught the guy by surprise and had brought Sasha along – he had made very clear what was expected of them. However, later he found out that both had run away.

He had send one of the birds who worked for him after them to see where they went. Eventually, they ended up all the way in the metacluster Zilval Summits (loctated in the Roaring Mountains; the Alps). Sasha regularly passed on the required information and that kept Nigras satisfied for a while. It helped him to work on a new plan to get rid of the constantly invading Chorda clan. However, the hyenas had managed to get further onto siderian territory than ever before and he got suspicious. Yves must have send them secret information that he may have gotten from Sasha. He also realized that there was a lot of turmoil among the hyenas and he felt that his daughter was in danger. He sent his sons Tsaiko and Rustem after them to bring both Sasha and Yves safely back. Despite Yves’ background, he was willing to protect him on the lands of Notochord, as long as he collaborated. However, months later, Rustem returned alone and said that he lost Tsjaiko in a blizzard. In roughly the same time, he heard that there was a fierce battle in Zilval Summits and that his daughter had died.

Nigras was furious after this loss and attacked the Chorda clan violently. Nigras and his followers killed many hyenas and chased the remaining Chorda clan members away, seemingly for good. Many calmer years followed and peace seemed to have returned in Notochord. Nigras was getting older now but still respected and maintained his position as coordinator. But his regime had changed. Years of hardship had made him more sensitive and he was no longer the hard leader that he was before. His youngest son Ferrus had picked this up and was causing commotion. Nigras had troubles controlling Ferrus’ behaviour and his son seemed to oppose nearly everything. Meanwhile, the hyena problems were returning and Nigras found himself struggling to maintain the peace and Notochord. His old age was weakening him and rebellious siderians appeared from all sides. Ferrus was gaining their support and was growing more power and Nigras saw himself losing more and more ground.

When Nigras was 105 years old, the inevitable happened. Ferrus confronted him and fought him off. Weakened, Nigras fled to one of the neighboring territories and lived out his last years. In one of the last years of his life, he was visited by the son of whom he thought was long dead…Tsjaiko miraculously returned with two of Sasha’s now full-grown cubs…
