I also played around with some extra 'safety' margins. I didn't use the template for the American formats for comic-books, but took A5 which seems more used in Europe. But I think it's good to keep some safety margins anyway. Have to change the previous 30 if I'm content with this @.@- now I see why Theory of Mind is a try-out volume...

Don't you think it is kind of weird of a cat to refer to another cat as >boyfriend< ?Β
Β Although humans do casually use terms boy and girl for everything female and male, the word boy is originally related to the human specie meaning young human male as well as the words guy and man, their original meaning all relate to male humans, so why would a cat character refer to another cat with such words?Β
Under the assumption their language developed independently of human language of course, I find it more natural for cats to use words like mate, tomcat, shecat, tomfreind or some made up word maybe instead of using words that relate to humans as a specie. Under the assumption however Siderians developed their language learning from humans, it would be understandable they would be using their words also. Β Β

I have been thinking about that. Siderians do have their own, independent language but I haven't thought that out - as I'm not a language expert. So of course they have a different word for that- something obviously not relating to the human species. But in the comic I have chosen to use our common language and ways of expressing, so that it is understandable for the readers. If I throw around with self-made words, some people may become confused and I know that siderians have other words for that anyway - imagine that this is a kind of 'translation' from siderian language -which is of course feline biased. But I think it would be interesting to think about words we don't have in our language and words that don't exist in siderian language. But for the boyfriend word - I don't see it as problem, since I would use the word boy and girl for siderians and other non-human animals too.Β

You could use he and she simply for everything and instead of boyfriend and girlfriend just use mate simply. I do assume Siderians don't have the marriage ritual so they don't need a word for husband and wife also, mate should be enough for them although i do agree if they want to point out a gender talking about other specie it might sound weird using something like he-bird.... Β

If you have any interesting ideas about different aspects on which siderians have a wider or narrower vocabulary than humans - just let me know. I will think about it too - Maybe siderians have many more words about concepts related to hunting, environment and crystals for example So, thanks for pointing this with language forward anyway - it is very interesting, although I suck at Language XDDΒ

It would be logical to think siderians and those javine|lion-like cats to have diffrences in language. Depending on their habits and things they use dont use compared to Siderians.

Noiro seems pretty larger than Yves and his friend. Is Noiro larger than an average Siderian or are others just younger here?

This big guy is Nigras, Sasha's father. He is -indeed- much taller than than them and above average in size. Noiro Yves' and Sasha's son who is average in size, slightly taller than Yves (who is slightly smaller than average). Lol - it seems confusing all these solid coloured black and white siderians.

I think the word boyfriend suits the context fine here. I may think about some special words and use of language in general, butΒ for the sake of the comic I don't see a problem with this particular wordΒ at al.

This comic is turning out really nicely!!
The only thing that nags me a little, and feel free to ignore this completely, is that I feel we've gotten the knowledge of Yves and Sasha being in love with each other way to soon. We know nothing about Sasha and next to nothing about Yves which makes the revelation of them being in love fall very flat. It might be better to show a hint of Sasha recognizing Yves but not to reveal just how much those two are connected. It also makes it seem as though something has been missed, like you've turned on the TV to the middle of a show you've never watched before. These are just my opinions though, I hope they help and please don't kill me if you disagree

Thanks a lot for you opinion!! I'm surely not going to kill you for something I again and again try to stimulate among my watchers. Compliments are nice, but critique and just opinions are maybe even more helpfull to improve the comic. You definitely have a point I will write down and think about when I will review the novel for printing (when it's finished). I didn't really realise that it would maybe be even more nice for the story to keep it maybe as a surprise for later in the story. Surely they fell in love already before this happening, but indeed maybe it would have been better to 'reveal' that to the readers later on. I'll think about it and thanks a lot for saying that - even though I don't use all peoples opinionns (thats simply impossible because there are as many opinionns as people haha). But if there as a certain trend in more people saying the same I'm like: maybe I should change XD. So keep giving your opinions and critique during the rest of the story!!

Phew ! That was close. I'm curious to see Yves' reaction about Sasga confessing her feelings. He seemed surprise when he heard it.

Ha yeah I think it is especially Thaldo who noticed it by observing them from a distance...but they both feel too. It was some kinda first sight love but they didnt really say it still. I think they even don't need to say it...
