little knife i had drawn with mechanical pencils. lost interest and never finished it, but i think it doesn't really need more anyway. this is an older drawing, just relocated it and decided to post it because i haven't got anything new at the moment... at least not in the art genre. i have been sewing like a madwoman, doubtless pictures to come.Related content

This drawing rocks in bunches. I don't see much room for improvement, unless you wanted to do a little more very simple line drawing around the background to fill it out a bit. Really it doesn't need anything. I'd really like to see it in person, you know, for realsies. Is it a very large drawing?

nope, it's in a sketchbook, only about 8x11"... some of the light pencil sketching was lost in the scan, i believe.

The decorative carving looks quite nice, and elaborate. Did you make it up, or did you have some of it on an existing knife from which to draw?

i have everything in the picture. i set it up, shone a light on it and drew it. best way to do realistic drawing is to work from life!

Very detailed, and looks realistic in the small view in particular. The dark of the block in the background, also adds a nice graphic black and white touch.
