Without cutting myself off at the midriff i can't quite envision this as a costume. But i want to make it into a graphic novel.

I have never seen this "done so many times"! I like sphinxes as a metaphor, and i like steampunk as an aesthetic. I will have to search for this phenomena you speak of. I have personally done a few versions of her, but never knew it was something that was already "old news".

Don't worry, i just thought i should go see if there are more of these so i was informed! But one of the sad truths of internet messages is that intention and sarcasm are almost always lost! It's ok, in either case. It's not a bad thing to have made something that others have their own versions of, because it's nigh impossible not to be repeating SOMETHING these days.
