And another reference sheet, this time for Lapis, the fleshed-out Metal Sonic. Yes, it's been done before, and in fact it was another artist's work ( *cyberill ) that inspired it in the first place But it's fun none the less ^_^

Name: Lapis the Hedgehog (Metal Sonic/Metallix)
Species: Hedgehog
Powers:
-Super speed
-Super strength
Abilities:
-Spin attack: curls into a ball while moving fast
-Overdrive: uses nearby sources of Chaos (can be Emeralds, Chaos Drives, or, if necessary, living beings) to power his skills up, only lasts for a minute before it starts to break down his own body so he doesn't use it bar emergencies.
Weapons:
-Sharp, very strong fingers
-Spikes
-Teeth (as Sonic constantly bears witness to)
Vehicles:
-None
Likes:
-Chewing on Sonic's arm
-Music, especially brid song
-Flowers
Dislikes:
-Sonic the Hedgehog
-Being defeated at anything
-Large crowds
Friends:
-Sonic the Hedgehog (Strange, isn't it?)
-Shadow the Hedgehog
-Ebony the Cat
Story:
Lapis doesn't know how he went from metal to flesh, nor will anyone disclose that information. Especially Sonic, who seems to know something about it. Even as a real Hedgehog, Lapis maintains the hatred towards Sonic he had as Metal Sonic. Ironically, Sonic is the only one who really makes and effort to be friends with him.
Lapis has a grudging respect for Shadow, who has a similar 'created' story, and his control over his powers. The dark Hedgehog won't teach him anything, yet he does allow him to observe as he uses any of his skills.
It's unknown how Lapis met Ebony, or when, but Sonic doesn't seem to mind, despite the reaction he had when he found out Super Sonic had been friends with her.
Looking like a child gives Lapis the advantage in most situations, as they forget his experience as a destructive robot. Chiding him for his appearance only serves to make him angry.
