AC cannon. think gigantic ship shotgun. has a slug which splits up into many semi medium sized shots. think over sized modern grape shot.

Ah, I understand. I do, however, disagree. With space, you're going to be dealing with differences of multiple kilometers. Any gun that has even a one degree inaccuracy is going to end up missing. I can see the point only if the ship is fighting hundreds of tiny, tiny little ships that are all packed extremely tightly, but frankly, the odds are you'll just end up missing. Flak cannons generally shoot out a shell that explodes later into a lot of pieces, allowing it to cover a greater area. The purpose of grapeshot was to hurt the whole deck when you would have a hard time missing. But in space, it's just going to miss altogether.

Wow it is coming along nicely. now i can see the weapon batteries and more details. I would add though one more battery in the front in those two points in the front. make them real huge caliber weapons. some sort of ship killer. also it would be cool to have AC cannons (think flak cannons on a much larger scale)

Right in the tip is going to be an Inertial Compression Cannon. (Special laser of my own design. It uses a Bose Einstein Condensate to compress a laser beam into a smaller space, giving less time for energy to dissipate upon impact.) It doesn't stick out and look impressive, but it's a practical design that can be based internally so it's stronger, and would, if made strong enough, be capable of destroying any sort of ship in one hit. However, the points you are referring to are actually missile launchers. A sample weapons manifest, of right now (it's constantly rising.)
