Description
Due to interest, I went ahead and threw together a tutorial for a simple ultracal mold. This is the process I use to make all of mu pawpad and nose molds. The tongues are a two part mold, and I'll be doing a follow-up tutorial on that here soon as well ^^ Feel free to ask any questions I didn't make clear!Related content

Thank you very much for this tutorial.
Me and Kit are beginning super beginning fursuiters.
We are looking to make both pawpad molds like this and noses.
I wanted to ask, would sculpty clay be good with this?

Not a problem ^^ I honestly wouldn't know if sculpey would work, but I'd think it'd be really expensive for a one time use like that... I like the plasteline clays because of how reusable they are, but I think any oil-based clay would be fine to make the initial sculpts with. It just has to not bond with the waterbased plaster/ultracal ;3

Do you know any good ones at Hobby Lobby or Micheals?
I looked for the one you are talking about plasteline clays, but it didn't come up.
-sorry if I sound really, really, slow about this, just trying to understand-

I don't go to Michael's or Hobby Lobby, so I'm afraid I can't be of help there. I get mine either from a local pottery supply store or online at www.dickblick.com, and the brand I prefer is Jolly King.

Hmmmm......so it's a good clay, but with your sculpting, did you use a modeling stick or something?

Might I say you are Bad Ascot when it comes to sculpting the nose?

This a great little tutorial, with nice clear information and pictures-definitely very handy especially for those who may be new to fursuiting/costumery.
Very nice work
