Welcome to the dunes of Maspalomas!
Iam back after a month of doing nothing on deviantART.
For the last two weeks I was on holyday on the canary islands (gran canaria and teneriffa) - it was a great trip nice weather, landscapes, people...and I took about 600 pictures...my 5GB card is fully loaded with images.
This is the first one I come out with...its taken at Maspalomas beach...when walking along the dunes it felt like beeing in a large desert!

My teacher was in the darkroom with our class and he was developing a photograph of his that looked so much like this but in black and white.
I love the contrast & the colours on this..I must make it out to the sand dunes someday...it's beautiful

Sehr schönes Bild, gut gewählte Kombination mit klaren Farben und struktuierten Aufbau. Hätte auf alle Länder - aber nicht auf die Kanarischen Inseln - getippt. War mal auf Lanzarote, dass hat eine schöne Vulkanlandschaft.

Naja diese Dünen sind wohl auch alles andere als typisch - die Kanaren sind ja eher dunkle Inseln mit eben auch dunklem Sand sprich vulkanischem Ursprung wie du schon angemerkt hast.
Ich konnte es erst auch nicht glauben...ist aber echt super dort...wenn man 30min durch die Dünen gelaufen ist denkt man wirklich man ist in der Wüste...hatte schon ständig Angst das meine 350D zu viel Sand ab bekommt.

Die Kanaren sind ja ein sehr abwechslungsreiches Territorium, da hast du dir echt einen schönen Platz zum fotografieren ausgesucht. Ist die Blende deiner 350D noch kaputt - gut das sie kein Sand abbekommen hat, um so schöne Bilder wäre es echt schade gewesen

Ja die Blende ist immernoch hin - wollte das Objektiv vor dem Urlaub nicht mehr einschicken...lieber ein kaputtes 24mm als garkeins.
Und ich bin nach wie vor sehr zufrieden mit dem Objektiv...werds jetzt aber wohl doch mal an Canon schicken.
Ist echt eine klasse gegend um Fotos zu machen...vor allem weil es dort wirklich viel abwechslung gibt...von richtig schöner (vielfältiger) Natur bis zur belebten Stadt gibts da alles.

Very nice picture, the sky looks incredible!! Have you used a polarized filter or anything similar? Contrast is very good and colors bring me the wish to travel!!

Yeah 5GB rocks!
No polarisation - but as i took all pictures in raw-format i was able to do some post-adjustments. Funny question anyway coz iam currently looking for a pol-filter - think i will get me one soon.
