did you change the opacity and flow setting for your brush or is it at 100%
And is your brush setting set to pen or fade?

Sorry for the late reply. My brush was set to fade, can't really remember the opacity, but pretty sure it was at 100%. If you are painting with graphic pen then you can control it with pen pressure. There are no rules, so set the opacity and flow that you are comfortable with, depending on what kind of effect you want to achieve, experiment
