Happy Mother's Day?

I owe an explanation. It was SUPPOSED to be about these characters, Mykal and Xarah, who though they are only kind of minor characters in the novel I wrote (that little bundle of joy is actually one of the protagonists)... They have a really detailed past in my head. And Idk but I was listening to this and I thought about them because I think when she got pregnant, she thought it was going to ruin their relationship. And she was going to leave because it was going to ruin his life, but... he still loves her. And he chooses his family over anything else. They're happy. BUT QUITE FRANKLY I WAS LISTENING TO THIS SONG AND I THOUGHT SHE MIGHT ASK HIM THESE QUESTIONS.
AND THE ANSWER WOULD BE YES.

So I was going to draw JUST THEM TOGETHER and actually the undersketchthing I did had just them cuddling and he was kissing her head but then I started painting and it kept changing until suddenly there was a baby and he just looks like he's facing away. Screw you Mykal, I hate you, I can't draw you. I have no idea. -_-
I came SO close to cutting him out. She looks better without him.
But I kept him because I love interracial couples.

Herp.

So I was like "WELL BABY IS OKAY BECAUSE IT'S MOTHERS DAY TOMORROW HOORAY!!! : D"
That's my excuse and I'm sticking WITH IT.

P.s. While I was drawing them I realized that THIS VALENTINES DAY ART looks a little like them... [link]
Lol. 9 months later? HAHAHA I CRACK ME UP.
