I made a red drinking glass and rendered with cycles a couple weeks ago and could never get red filtered light. At the start of the passes it gave some red pixels, but they disappeared completely as it refined. Did you figure it out with cycles or use an external renderer?
This looks great btw. Nice detail. I'd like to model my own, but it can be such a complex thing to start.

This was originally done in 2.49 so well before cycles. Rendering was done in Luxrender.

I could never catch on back when it was in 2.49. I don't know if the interface change helped me, or if I just naturally got to a point myself where everything started clicking.
I posted my first WIP of a head recently. Mesh work is my strong suit, not so much hair and materials.

Sadly 2.49 was blender when I learned about it. shifting to the new versions was hard but now I am more used to it and would not go back.

Oh no, wouldn't dream of it. Every step forward with Blender is a challenge but immensely rewarding.

Thanks, somewhere in my deviations bin I have one of a model that is not mine but its Serenity.
