Description This is the actual Godzilla expression model sheet that I did for the 1998 animated TV show. I included it in the main model pack to give the Storyboard artists reference on how draw Godzilla's face from different angles. It was never colored. I was unable to clean the linework up due to time restraints, so it remained a rough throughout the production.

I've been working on coloring this sketch over the past few months, so that the shapes make more sense to you.

Also, can you make Godzilla 2014 animation model?

Like in Godzilla the Series style?

Nope. I only post production art that I did for the shows that I was the head Character Designer on. I don't do fan art.

Shit, it submitted on mobile. Sorry.
I was going to say, "I always loved his look in this series. As the person below said, intimidating but endearing."

Yeah I had to cover all of the possibilities that the storyboard artists might face, so I gave them some variations on open mouths.

It's so well made, you'd think there was a 3D model used to draw it.

Thanks, I didn't have, or want, any photo reference. Just sketches from the three story high animatronic Godzilla built by Patrick Tatopoulos' team and a smaller maquette that was housed in a locked room on the Columbia Tristar lot. I relied on my knowledge of structure to do these views of his head.

I love the design you gave Godzilla in this series It allowed him to look fierce in battle, but also rather endearing when he was inΒ a calm mood

Thanks, I intentionally made Godzilla, more pushed and angular than the film version, kinda "sexy" the model up a bit.
