This photo really doesn't do this keyblade justice. The scale, the attention to details, and the care you put into carving it out and painting it as clean and eloquently as you did was really impressive. My only disappointment was that I brain farted and didn't get a chance to ask you if I could hold it for a second. Haha! I had a really long weekend.

Oh thank you! I will still be remaking it and the other keyblades i've made so i can cast them from plastic or foam for cons and such

Cast them in plastic and foam? That sounds pretty cool. Would you make a one-time cast mold or a more permanent one?

I'm gonna try to use a platinum-cured silicone rubber mold so it lasts a long time and it's the closest thing i have to a permanent mold avaliable. I just have to save up some money so i have a cushion in my bank account.
Β First casts are gonna be a kingdom key, some chakrams, and maybe a young xehanort keyblade, then you all can decide what order for the rest because i dont wanna spend a whole bunch of money on a mold i'll never use. I'll even carve new keys if i dont already have that keyblade avaliable.

Yeah, I know that silicon in general is pricey. Using it as a mold for a prop of this scale is pretty insane! Doable. But expensive. I imagine it would be a two piece mold, too, which that's even trickier. It sounds like you've had prior experience with it before though?
It's a safe bet people would be interested in the Kingdom Key and chakrams. And I say if you really like Young Xehanort's keyblade, go for it. As for the rest, maybe you could do a poll or something? Perhaps ask in general about which keyblades people would like to see and from there, make one and see how that goes? And create the one that gets the most votes? Would you lean more towards keyblades that haven't really been done as much, by the way?Β

As for the mold, it'll be a two part shell mold. Also known as a mother mold, jacket mold, or hard shell mold. This will lower the cost down so much more than if i was doing a block mold. I would say that through my extensive research along with some experience, it shouldnt be a problem casting it.
And as for the casts: i've had wuite a few orders for young xehanort key recently (about 3 not including the 3 i've already started or finished). Plus it would look nicer cast and smooth and be a lot lighter rather than heavy and time consuming from wood unless they wanted it from wood. And boy, i've tried so many times to take polls, but no one seems to see my journals. I guess they turned the setting off.
Eventually i will cast every single keyblade from each game starting with kh2 and then my whims will lead me from there. Also definitely making all the organization weapons.
